It's not always easy to get away for close to a couple of hours to hit practice balls at the driving range, and those practice balls aren't exactly cheap either. So, I decided to try BirdieBall because it looked interesting and fun. The BirdieBall resembles a napkin ring, and you can hit it off the ground or off a "strike pad" which deflects to allow the clubhead to impact the ball without damaging the club -- even off of concrete. When they are hit, the BirdieBalls fly somewhat like golfballs -- hook, slice, or straight, depending on your swing. But they only fly about 40 yards, so you can practice in a park, a large backyard, a parking lot, etc. They give pretty good feedback on how you are hitting them and they only travel a short distance, which is convenient. The strike pad is a bit more forgiving than hitting off the ground because it deflects and allows even fat shots to make reasonable contact with the BirdieBall. But otther than that, they provide good, convenient practice for your golf swing. Give it a try!
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value
