TOP FLITE Freak

Top Flite Freak Golf Balls Imagine a golf ball where the only goal in the design was distance. No compromises for all the other features that go into making golf balls. Just let you tee it up, swing out of your shoes and have the ball scream down the fairway with nasty long distance. That s the Freak absolutely the longest Top-Flite ball you can play. With maxed-out aerodynamics, a faster core and lower spin, this ball generates ridiculous distance without relying upon hard-as-rock ball compressions. This isn t the ball if you lay up. The Freak should be used for tee box intimidation, bombing drives past your foursome and reaching par-5s in two. Features: Unique aerodynamic surface maintains spin longer throughout flight, allowing the ball to hold its line and maintain lift longer without ballooning. It also increases aerodynamic efficiency by reducing drag, maximizing distance for a wide range of swing speeds Optimized formulation is built to produce ball speeds that go right u

Pretty good ball.
Date: November 10, 2009
I found one in the hazard. It appeared to be brand new. The ball flew as far as advertised. It didn't feet to hard and I had pretty good resutls with my short irons. (Not as good as the Pro V1X which is my ball of choice). The ball was sticking a few inches from my diviots on the greens. I can see how someone with a higher handicap would have a hard time putting some type of spin on the ball. However, like some of the other people who rated this ball, my irons were 10 yards longer. If you plan on using this ball, be sure to make the proper adjustments. Great ball for everyday use.

Outstanding golf balls

Interesting design, I'm not sure how this ball differs from the other topflight balls, but I bought a box of these and continue to buy them. I dont believe there is a better ball for the price. Nice soft feel that deliver straighter, longer shots. Buy a box.

Freaky Freaks!
Date: August 19, 2009
I am a novice golfer, but I have several friends who all use different balls. I have tried several different styles and brands, but the one I have stuck with is my Freaks. Top Flight doesn't play games with these balls, they fly. The only trouble I have with them is inside 50 yards, I just can't find the proper power with my wedges to drop them on the green. I am either too long or too short. I tend to under power the ball when putting, so the extra speed they generate on the greens really helps my putting, and the distance off the tee; I am driving the ball as long with my 3 iron as my partner is with his driver and his Calaways....WOW! To all beginner and intermediate players.....try the Freak, it will help you even the odds in your foursome.

Does exactly what is says

This ball rocks of the tee. As an intermediate player I like the straight long shots these provide. I don't notice any help in the short game -- not what the ball is meant for. I've had a few balls bounce on and off the green - not sure if I should blame the ball, might be my club selection based on inaccurate range markers.
On the green the ball is consistent and rolls fast. I play public courses that might not have greens as fast as private courses.
I like using these but may test the Gamer or the Titleist NXT series - I'm not ready to spend big bucks on balls yet.
Which leads me to the price - it's a great value.

Love the Freak
Date: February 6, 2009
the 3 digit number makes it real easy to make sure its my ball. They have a nice soft feel and they seem to travel very well. Everyone knows its my ball when they see it. If you are playing against me, please use something else, like a Titleist so everyone can argue who's ball is who's.
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value, unique

What a surprise
Date: November 3, 2008
I read other reviews of this ball and had to try them. First time out I was hitting then 10 to 20 yards farther than most other balls. To me they have a soft feel, but I like a hard ball for less spin off the tee.
For the money this is a keeper. I plan to buy more.

great buy, long shots, strait, and runs forever
Date: October 20, 2008
found at a higher handicap thies are great. straiter shots on the fairway and green. Has a pritty hard thud with the irons but still is pritty sweet if you like hitting a hard ball. Great flight. I found with my wedges and irons i can still get some back spin with it. Stuck it on the green only about a yard away from where it initaly it. Chipping it dose get a little fast and likes to run. But in the end if you have a high HC, use thies for less side spin, great distance and accuracy. But like i said the greens are a little hard to stick with some clubs.
Pros: Quality, Durability, Good Value, Features, hit it just right you can stick it on the green
Cons: spin is a little difficult to give it back spin

Solid for a high handicapper
Date: August 26, 2008
I got some of these and they are as advertised L-O-N-G off the tee. However when you get close to the greens, and need the ball to check, they don't provide enough backspin.
I've found them to be a durable ball, stands up to play well, but the only real issue is the spin. These are advertised as a distance ball, so for what they say it does, it does it well and I give it 4 stars, it's just not my cup of tea.
It is VERY hard, and I prefer a softer ball, so that is the only reason I ding it 1 star. I can only assume that the design process that gives it more distance is responsible for the hard feeling. It is HARD. Not as bad as a range ball, but still, I felt it was quite hard when I hit them.
Still, they are as advertised, extra distance.

They deliver on the hype
Date: August 25, 2008
This is a GREAT distance ball! I was also surprised at the way they hold the greens for me with all my irons, and especially my wedges (I play 4 wedges). The double dimple pattern seems to work very well. And you can't beat the price value. I played my round yesterday with just two Freak balls, with no damage to either, even though I hit a couple of trees. I am now a BIG fan of these balls, and have converted several of my playing mates to use them. Great Job!

Long, that's it
Date: August 9, 2008
This ball is extremely long off the tee. It feels like a rock when hit with irons and won't bite greens at all. Not a ball I would ever buy again.

Solid Ball for the price!!!
Date: May 14, 2008
I have been playing Nike's juice for a while, but last time i was in golfsmith i saw these babies and figured for $15 it was worth a shot... They play very long, i would say atleast 10 yards farther than the Juice... and they actualy helped me add a slight draw, which i was never able to do with the juice. They play well off your irons as well, but they arnt quite as good off the wedges and putter as the juice. Since I found these I have been playing both, and would deffinetly recomend either of them to anyone who needs to kill a slice, and wants nothing more than to out drive everyone of your freinds!!!
