Wonderful Shaft

I tried this in my fairway wood first....they are Bobby Jones, and they are the straightest and longest Fairway I have ever had....so I tried it in my Bobby Jones Players 10.5 and it is the longest and straightest Driver I have ever had...It is the shaft folks...please believe me... Ron

Had Grafalloy platinum shaft 4 months. Hit tee shot and shaft snapped in 3 pieces. 4 witnesses.

Great Driver Shaft

I have this shaft in my Snake Eyes Viper XTi 10.5* driver and it gives me the best numbers of any driver I have ever used. I used to use the Grafalloy Pro Launch Blue shaft but was looking for a little flatter trajectory so I bought one of these shafts when it was introduced. I love the performance and feel that this shaft gives me. I had this shaft SST PURED when I purchased it from Golfsmith. You should be fit before you purchase, but I would recommend that you give one a try. It is truly a great shaft.

I ordered the Platinium Wood Shaft, A Flex and installed it on a SQ Somo driver head, This golf is a 65 year old man with about an 8 handicap. He loves the shaft and told me he gained about 20 yards back on his drives.

I installed this shaft after I had it pured in a Cleveland HiBore XLS Tour and it is absolutely the longest driver/shaft combo that I have ever hit. I owned a TaylorMade Burner TP with an Epic shaft and this club has been replaced. I can't wait to get out there and beat on it again. As a 50 year old man, I am in places that I haven't been in years. This club is deep!!! I really like the fact that I don't have to worry about the left side of the golf course.

Does not compare to NT Comp

I've played the Graffaloy NT Comp for 3 years and they took it out of production. Hit the EI-70 Tour Stiff prior to that and True Temper took that out of production. I called Graffaloy and they said the closest shaft to the NT Comp was the Platinum but there's really no comparison. The Platinum wasn't as tight and added spin to the driver. The two stiff flexes do not compare....my guess is that a stiff in the NT might compare to an X flex in the Platinum but who knows. I've noticed over the last couple of years that the Graffaloy shafts seem to be getting softer in their stiff flexes.

Good shaft but Stiff not stiff enuf

I purchased this recently and I was looking forward to hitting it off on my Titleist 905R. I had it pured too. As soon as I hit the first ball, I knew the shaft was flexing too much... too torquey. The stiff shaft, torque and swing speed specs did not work for me. I have a 105-108 mph swing speed and normally have a carry of about 250-255 yards. I typically average about 290 +/- 10 yards off the tee. With this shaft, I had to slow my swing speed to let catch up with my rotation. Thus, I actually lost yardage. My drives were averaging only 240-250 yards. My 3 wood goes 240-245. I'm disappointed. I should've gone with the x-stiff. Now my driver is out of my bag and I purchased a new 907D2 with UST V2 stiff shaft. I'm not back to 290-300 yard drives. I hope this can help others...

Very Long and Stable

I purchased the 65 gram shaft with a stiff flex. I am playing it in the Mamba 2, 9.5 degree head. The shaft is very stable and long but it has very good feel at impact. The trajectory is mid-high with the Mamba 2 but it turns over and rolls out. The shaft penetrates the wind without ballooning. The Prolaunch Platinum works very well in the Viper Tour driver head also. It has a mid-low trajectory and rolls out very well. No matter what head you try this shaft in, you can't go wrong.

best shaft ever hit

i had the grafalloy prototype bimatrix shaft in my driver and 5 wood but wanted something a little stronger, thought about the aldila by you proto because i had it in a previous driver but after hitting this shaft in a friends driver i had to have it. had it put in my ping g10 driver and 5 wood both were pured at my local golfsmith. i hit the ball straighter with less of my tail fade than before. i have a 4 handicap and play 62 to 80 holes a week and work at a golfcourse as an assistant. i have hit alot of shafts and this is the best by far. if you good tempo and are looking for consistency this is the shaft for you.

GREAT buy!

I bought this shaft on a recommendation and needed a stiff shaft in my driver anyway. I also had it "Pured" The first time I hit it was on the range and couldn't wait to see the same results on the course! Outstanding shaft for the price I paid, longer and straighter than ever before!! Very happy I decided to go with it!

I have used this Pro Platinum shaft about 5 rounds now and feel with low to medium trajectory on a 504f 13 degree Titleist I will lower scores to low 80's. No sprayed shots as you stay in the fairway with easy swings. GS service rep advised well and delivery was on time.
