UST Proforce V2 75 Wood Shaft

UST Proforce V2 75 Wood Shaft: Building on the success of the wildly popular Proforce line, the V2 features a compilation of UST proven technologies. A balanced tip section promotes maximum energy transfer and the low torque reduces side spin for greater control. The Proforce V2 uses a combination of 19 types of aerospace-quality materials. These micro-fiber layers are situated in a proprietary fiber orientation to ensure constant taper and consistent flex and feel between each shaft weight category. This high modulus, micro-carbon material simply was not available when the Proforce Gold made its debut in 1999. In short, the V2 offers a responsive feel in the hands with a low torque, active tip section that releases a powerful blow for both accuracy and added carry and distance.

Great Shaft
Date: October 22, 2009
Put this on a TOUR BURNER 08. Changed the stock shaft because it felt like the torque was so high that I couldn't connect.
I expected to lose some distance. At first, I was convinced I had made a mistake when i put this shaft on my club.
Turns out I hadn't made a mistake. It just took me a few hours to get it, so to speak. You can really swing away at this shaft... it will reward you.
I didn't lose a yard of distance or even gained some carry and roll from being able to shape the ball off a solid swing.

UST V2 75 wood shaft-- the best!
Date: October 15, 2009
I have used UST shafts for years. This shaft (X flex) hits the ball with a higher flight, with total control. I prefer them over fujis!

Great Shaft, Great Value!!
Date: July 31, 2009
I bought this shaft to replace the Mitsubishi Rayon shaft on my 9.5 Sumo 5000 driver. Huge difference right away. Less torque on impact. Penetrating ball flight and much better carry after landing. I have V2's on my hybrids and they are awesome. You won't regret this purchase.

V2 is strong yet responsive
Date: March 3, 2009
I Have a V2 75 shaft in 2 drivers, both X-stiff and stiff. I can play with both by adjusting the weights in my TM SuperQuads. What I like about this shaft is the combination of strength and smooth feel. With a V2, I never get that feeling that you have a shaft that feels like a board. It's very comfortable and it allows you to focus on your swing.

Stiff but still not Stiff Enough
Date: November 17, 2008
When I say not stiff enough, I mean that I haven't found a graphite shaft stiff enough for my taste. But maybe it's just me.
I bought the X flex. I installed one in a 2007 Cobra Speed LD F 9.0* and in a Titleist 906F4 13.5*.
For the driver it feels much stiffer than the stock stiff shaft. For the 906F4 it feels very stiff but I didn't play with the stock shaft before I switched it. I haven't practiced often enough with either to write a thorough review. However, I can say that during the short time I played with both clubs with these shafts in them, I felt in better control than with the stock shaft in the driver while I got a lot of feedback on both clubs.
I should say that I tipped them, even the driver, to increase stiffness even more. When GolfSmith begins to stock the new V2 Proforce Tour which is heavier and much stiffer still (80-90g versus 75g, 1.8-1.6 torque versus 2.2), I'll probably get that and put it in all my woods including the driver.

Trouble closing the club face?
Date: October 16, 2008
This shaft changed the game of golf for me. I've always had trouble closing the clubface on the larger head drivers with shafts like the Aldila NV-65.
Last summer, I switched to this shaft and the low torque (rates at 2.2) on this shaft prevents the clubface from opening at impact... or it's much easier to close at impact enabling a true release.
I have a pretty fast transition from my back-swing to my through swing and other shafts would not allow me to close the face at impact because of the twisting on the shaft.
I worked on that one aspect and this shaft made it possible to fix that flaw more easily.

Date: August 31, 2008
i recently put this shaft in my 9.5 burner and have found my new favorite club. the stock shaft was too whippy for me and got tired of the high ball flight. the v2 feels great, goes straight and has a much flatter trajectory with more roll. great product.

Awsome low spin shaft
Date: May 29, 2008
I reshafted my Ping G5 driver and fairway wood with this shaft. It was recommended to me after I got a driver fitting to lower my spin rate as well as to work the ball better.
Trajectory is low, flat, and penetrating. My average driving distance has without a doubt increased.
The previous shaft in the driver was a grafalloy prolaunch. In the prolaunch you could definately feel the shaft kick. In the V2, not so much. The feel is definately not boardy, its a more clean feel, like slicing cheese. I have hit blue, prolaunch, aldila nv. The V2 shaft by far has the best feel as well as the best results. Originally I was concerned about the heavier weight of this shaft, if you have the same concern, Don't. The extra weight will help you nail the sweet spot SO much more often that the extra grams will not matter at all.
I also have this in my fairway wood too. I have the stiff shaft in my driver and regular shaft in the fw. Even with this setup the fw plays a lot stiffer. SO much better than the stock Ping TFC shaft. With the stiffness in this shaft I have no worry that my fw will get caught in the turf. Just decide how you want to pick it off the turf.
Black and gold finish is ubercool!

Best Driver Shaft
Date: May 8, 2008
I had this shaft PURED and installed on the Titelist D2 Driver (10.5)........ I can honestly say that this shaft is the best for this club. The distance I am now getting is about 10 to 15 yards loner but much more accurate.... MUCH MORE!!.... I had the Aldila VS Prototype Blue 60 and it does not compare at all!..... As for the price difference! Even with the PUREING the UST Proforce V2 75 is half the price!!!

Excellent Performance at great price
Date: May 2, 2008
Bought this shaft in the X and had it pured and am thrilled with it. Plays a lot like a speeder 757 but at a lot less money. Great launch angle, Very consistent. Thought it might feel like a board, but having it pured made it feel smooth. Can work the ball both ways and much longer than with the VS proto.

The Proforce line of shafts are the best value of all the shafts I have tried.
There are better shafts out there but you had better be prepared to dig deep into your pocket to purchase one.

Very Stable Shaft
Date: November 19, 2007
A few months ago I purchased the new Python XL driver in the 9.5 degree loft. I had a hard time finding a shaft stable enough to keep the face square. The ball had a tendency to fade on me. I tried the Graffaloy Prolaunch Red 65 gram stiff, Penely ETA 65 gram stiff, and the UST Proforce V2 65 gram stiff with very little luck. So I decided to try a little heavier shaft and went with the Proforce V2 75 gram stiff. With the extra weight and the 2.2 torque, this shaft has done the trick. My ball flight has straightened out and I actually gained distance because of this. I would recommend this shaft to any one that has a higher swing speed and needs help straightening out there ball flight because of the new high MOI driver heads.

I had my 3 and 5 wood reshafted with these. I love the new feel that they provide. I can tell the shafts are more consistent than what was in the clubs previously. I have a fast swing speed so stability is important. They look great as well.

VERY NICE FEEL
Date: September 20, 2007
I have personally be using UST Shafts pretty much exclusively for the last 9 years. They are all good value and perform well. This is the first time I have built one with the V2 shaft. I actually built this driver with a little less loft than my normal (used the 9.5 instead of the 10.5) and with the mid kick point instead of the high, the feel on this thing and the ball trajectory is perfect for me. ANOTHER GREAT UST PRODUCT. I am currently building one for a friend with a VERY STRONG swing speed and am using the x-stiff. I will let you know how that works out.

Super value for a tour shaft!!!
Date: July 11, 2007
At less than $70, you will never find a better shaft than this one. It plays really similar to the Fujikura Speeder 757 at a fraction of the price. Ballflight is a controlled middle trajectory. I believe this shaft plays stiffer than others of the same flex. The super-low torque gave me some different shot patterns that took a little time to get used to. I had a little harder time hitting a pronounced draw with this shaft.
