Callaway FT-iQ Tour Driver

Callaway FT-iQ Tour Driver The FT-iQ Tour Driver features the best combination of distance and accuracy in a driver Callaway Golf has ever made. The refined head shape has a sleek and stealthy look while raising the MOI (moment of inertia) for unprecedented accuracy off the tee, while Hyperbolic Face Technology significantly raises ball speeds across the entire face for increased distance. The FT-iQ Tour Driver produces a more penetrating ball flight and features a slightly open face angle, when compared to the standard model, for a look preferred by accomplished players. Features: Hyperbolic Face Technology: Hyperbolic shaping is the cutting edge of driver face design - mathematics and engineering combine to create Callaway s highest ever ball speeds across the entire face Fusion Technology: Creates maximum perimeter weighting and more discretionary weight by combining a carbon composite body with the titanium face cup, allowing for precise positioning of the CG (center

I've got close to 10 drivers accumulated over the past 4-5 yrs. from various manufacturers. A few are favorites, but being the club hoe that i am, wanted to try to and see if i could get even further improvement and with my own "stimulus plan", survive on instant noodles for a month and splurge on this driver. Got fitted for this and was determined that i could go with either the Tour /non Tour version(open or closed face) in stiff. For whatever reason, i just cannot get this thing to not fade or slice and it ballons on me quite a bit. Also, distance is not there for me. I'm thinking i've got the wrong shaft for me ? When i ease back on this to maybe 70% of full, it does "ok" but distance is not great. With the Squarhead 3 wood, i'm dead straight as are most of my irons. Something is amiss here for me. I want so much for this driver to work for me but i am thinking it might be a waste of $$

Great Glub if it stays together
Date: September 4, 2009
I just received my 2nd replacement from Callaway which I will promptly take to my local dealer and trade. When I purchased this club I absolutely loved it. Hitting fairways and long! However, the first one I purchased on April 11 came apart at the seam between the face plate and the body of the club head. Callaway’s customer service was excellent and quickly sent me a replacement. I played 5 rounds with the replacement and the same thing happened. This is a great club when it stays together, but I would not recommend it to anyone especially a friend.

FT-iQ 9.5 Stiff Staff Driver
Date: May 28, 2009
The FT-iQ 9.5 stiff shaft driver is great. I have been hitting more fairways and hitting it longer then with the FTi model. The torque seems less with the pro style staff.
I recommend this even to the higher handicapper (above 10)
Pros: Quality, hits it further, more accurate
Cons: expensive

Callaway did it right!!!!!
Date: April 20, 2009
I have always been a Taylor Made fan for Drivers, and have always wanted Callaway to come out with a driver that compares to Taylor Made and they finally have. I have been playing a TP Burner for a couple of years now and I just got rid of it and went to the FTiQ Tour and I love it. It is straight and I did not loose any distance. Hands down the best driver I have ever owned. My first round on the course I hit 14 of 18 fairways. Can't beat that!
The only negative I have about the driver is that is scratches easy on the bottom, but you can clean it off pretty easy.

Should be illegal

This thing is the easiest driver you could ever hit, and you won't give up any distance to what you are playing now. Straight-Straight-Straight that's all I can say. This thing is worth every nickel three times over.
Pros: Easy to Use, bombs away!!!!!
