Ive just switched from AP2 and been playing for 2 yrs. I though blades would be a pain but i can work the ball alot with these clubs and the ball gets up easy ive had no problems. Ive actually started swinging the club better because it forces u to learn the correct swing. if u dont have time to work on ur game then dont buy these but if ur a high handy and dont have time to practice its a dont buy. but everything abut these irons make me feel like superman... good job callaway

excellent clubs

my 14 yr old son suggested i buy a used set of tour x for him. they are reg flex with swingweight c9. i was playing x16 with graphite/stiff flex shafts.
put them in my bag about 6 months after purchase and found them to be extremely playable for a mid handicap player. i had been playing the ball back in my stance to compensate for the slight offset in my x16s. the pure shots were fine, but the misses were erratic. using the "blade" with no offset allowed me to put the ball back into the middle of my stance, allowing me to catch the ball more consistantly at the bottom of my swing. more consistant contact and much more favorable mishit results.
i would recommend this club to those mid handicappers in the 7 - 12 range who believe they are not able to handle a blade type clubhead.
this is an excellent club.

What can I say,
First off I was in the market for some new irons and i tested out a variety. Callaway X-Forged, Taylormade Forged irons, Taylormade TP irons, Titleist ZB. These clubs were by far the best feeling. They are not 100% forged which still gives min. forgiveness along with lots of control of iron shots. highly recommend these to the low handicap golfer.

Cons: Difficult to Use
