COBRA S9 II Iron Set 4-GW with Steel Shaft

Cobra Golf S9 II Iron Set 4-GW with Steel Shafts Cobra engineers made their award-winning* S9 irons even better. The expanded 3-piece polymer topline and urethane sole insert on the S9 II Irons optimize discretionary weighting for a lower CG and higher moment of inertia. This means higher launch, greater distance and more accuracy for players. Combine that with the club's low profile and wide sole with a chamfer relief design and you gain improved versatility and more forgiveness on the links. Features: Wide sole Low profile head design Three-piece polymer topline Urethane insert Back cavity plate

Really great set of irons
Date: September 24, 2009
I recently purchased these irons and have been really happy with the performance. I expected forgiveness based on demos, but I also picked up at least 10 yards per club over my Big Bertha irons without losing any of the great feel and forgiveness. Out of 3 different sets of irons over the last 12 years, these are far and away my favorite.

I like these clubs a lot. I had the old oversized cobras that norman was playing years ago and the clubs that made cobra... well, cobra. When i went to test out clubs i hit all the big names but the thing that stuck out most about these is that even on the mis hits they didnt feel bad. So i'd say the biggest plus is the forgiveness however they can put a decent spin on the ball too, i hit a 7 about 175 and stopped the ball dead in its tracks on the green, the ball was 6 inches or so behind the ball mark. However i cant get the ball to come back much more than a foot or so even with the gap wedge so an extra set of wedges are pretty essential with these irons if you're looking for a lot of spin and control around the greens.

Great irons for the money
Date: September 17, 2009
I have been using these irons for about 3 and a half months now. I was very impressed with these irons. I am getting about 10-15 yards more yards with these irons. It was these irons or thee Taylormade Burners, and I chose these because they were more forgiving and because the price came down. The main reason why these irons helped me were the shafts. I was gonna get custom fitted shafts, but these just happened to be the perfect flex (Regular flex in steel.) I love these irons because of the crisp feel, and penetrating ball fleight you get when you connect dead on the sweet spot. A mis hit is still a mis hit, no iron can cure that, but the polymer topline and cavity plate does absorb some of the shock. The grips are also nice too. These irons are very accurate, they will NOT cure your slice, and have good distance and ball flight. I would reccomend these irons to anyone who wants to improve their game. Great purchase

I played with an older set of Cobra Inertia 3400 xh's. When i recently purchased the S-9's i started hitting the ball straighter and farther. These are great irons for all levels looking for irons at a great price without sacrificing playability

These clubs are wonderful. If you are looking for consistancy and a bit more room to make mistakes without the punishment, these are the clubs. They are also easy on the vibration which gives them a silky but solid feel. I'm very happy with them, especially since they lowered the price.

solid clubs
Date: July 12, 2009
These irons are as good as iron as I have played, but they are not miracle clubs! If you hit a good shot they have a nice ball flight with a crisp feel, but also if you mishit it feels like a mishit. Haven't notice much of an increase in distance as some reviewers but no complaints about these clubs at all here though! Happy with the purchase!!!

Game Improvement Indeed!
Date: July 9, 2009
Wow, these clubs are really easy to hit and are laser accurate. Got it during the Golfsmith father's day discount so it was under $500 out the door. I had been using a set of Ping ISI copper for 13 years and was afraid that I would lose distance by changing to the S9's but the S9's are even longer. Only complaint I have is that the pitching wedge is harder to control around the green as compared to the Pings but I think I just need to get used to it some more.

First Irons Purchase
Date: June 27, 2009
This is the first new set of Irons I've purchased and got fitted for and they are absolutely the best investment I made. Now I won't have to buy irons for at least another 10-15 years. They're an outstanding quality product and I could not be happier. Great forgiveness, without giving up too much workability.

Forgiveness is key

I found the clubs strike the ball better than any other club I've owned. Rarely have I left the ball short if I strike it clean. They have added length and comfort to my shots while shaving a few strokes also. Great clubs.

great irons
Date: September 25, 2008
i upgraded to these irons from a set of wilson pro staffs that were pretty old. it was a night and day difference, i didnt think my game would improve that much but i have shaved 3-4 strokes off on average. i tested these out compared to some higher priced irons and these are everything that i hoped for.

Best Irons EVER
Date: August 1, 2008
Just go get fit and buy these. There is no sting for mis hit balls. Added about 5 yards to each of my clubs. ( but note that most of the clubs are 1 degree less than most clubs)Ball flight is very straight. Pretty hard to work the ball left or right. but most of us want to hit the ball straight. Not much spin around the green is the only thing I could complain about, but atleast i am hitting them every time now. not much spin is the same reason the ball flys straight. So I might suggest get the s9II 3-pw and get some cleveland cg-14 wedges for your spin around the green
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Features, great design, no sting, light and easy
Cons: a bit pricey

Cobra S9 II Irons
Date: February 14, 2008
The New Cobra S9 II irons are some of the best that I have hit. I recently hit them at a demo day in a dome and felt like the ball just flew off the club so smoothly. It feels so clean when you hit it and like you hit the sweet spot everytime. I would recommend these to anyone wanting to improve their game.
