Nice Golf Aid
Date: July 7, 2009
I am a golfer who just does not spend enough time practicing to "master" the game of golf. I am a high handicapper, with a problematic slice, that I understand to be pretty typical for "hobby" golfers. I have spent money on golf items like offset irons, oversized drivers, special golf balls, none of which had a significant improvement in my game. The Medicus iron however appears different. I am changing my mechanics and tempo and getting straighter shots and fewer lost balls. My personal review supports the hype, this does work.
Pros: Easy to Use, can hit practice balls as well

Ever since I bought the Medicus Dual Hinge 5 Iron, I have cut down on my range practice sessions. This is partly due to muscle memory created when swinging with the Medicus. I have shown it to many of my friends in Puerto Rico and some already have ordered it through Golfsmith stores or online.
This club helps the golfer to develop a very smooth and effortless swing. It teaches the basics of a good golf swing.

Gave it to my hubby for Christmas, and he loves it. He cannot wait until Spring when he can actually try it out in the yard. He's hoping it helps his swing.

It really seems to be helping my swing. I especially like the ability to adjust the tension so I can swing harder, more like my normal swing speed, and stay in the groove.

A Good Investment
Date: September 23, 2007
This club is amazing! I've been golfing for closer to two years now. Out on the course at least two times a week and practicing whenever I can. I recently figured out a plane to stop my slice but wasn't very consistent maintaining that. I've been wanting to try out this club, so I went to Golfsmith, picked up the 5 iron model, and drove straight to the course. I swung it while I was waiting to hit and it helped out my iron shots immediately! My shots straightened out and I got much more carry on the ball flight. It teaches you the right plane and makes you slow your swing down nice and easy so you can let your club do the work and not try to cream it to make the ball go farther.
It's excellent for muscle memory too! While I was swinging my actual clubs, they felt like they wanted to break when I was doing something wrong during my back swing.
I'd recommend this this club to anyone serious about improving their golf score. The price is right too! I'd pay a lot more money for this club.

Medicus Dual Hinge 5 Iron
Date: November 23, 2006
This club has worked so far for me, and i have only had it 3 days.
I have been playin golf for only about a year now, and have developed bad habits in my take away and down swing. Had 2 months of horrible golf and decided to try a swing trainer.
I practiced around my yard without hitting balls for the following 2 days after recieving the club, starting off with just getting to the toe up position, then moving to the full takeaway, and so forth and so on.
After 2 days of practice with the club, I noticed a dramatic difference in my swing plane, and with my overall swing in general. Fixed my slice almost over night, and added 10-15 noticible yards on all my clubs.
I highly recomend this club for novice to intermediate players, but if you already have a nice, in tempo, on plane smooth swing, you dont need it.
I carried the club in my bag the whole round, and while waiting to tee off or to hit my shot, I would pull it out and swing it a few times just to help keep my swing in place and smooth.
I am hoping after a few months of practice with the club about 30 minutes a day, I will begin retraining my muscles to the proper swing.
I just wish i had this club a year ago when I first began playing this addicting sport.

Good at best
Date: November 20, 2006
The only probem i have with the medicus is that it is somewhat easy to manipulate into not breaking. A upright takeaway or early wrist(early not jerky) hinge will not break the medicus.. but will harm your golf swing. Also, if you are a golfer who has a slight over the top move on the downswing it is still possible to not break the medicus.
But overall if you use the dvd it comes with and practice its technique correctly it will give you great tempo. Although i wouldnt recommend it to a lower handicap golfer. The lower handicap i bleieve would benefit much more from a weighted club as a low handicap golfer usually already has good tempo and timing. The weighted club allows them to increase swing speed and build golf muscles along with keeping them on plane.

The Medicus 2000 fixed the damage done by a "pro"
Date: June 21, 2006
Last year I dropped my handicap by two strokes to 10.1. I thought it was a good idea to take a lesson. After the lesson I learned how to shank the ball into the trees anytime I was within 150 yards of the green. I picked up the Medicus 2000 over the winter and now the shank is gone. I'm also hitting the ball more pure than I ever did in the past. It was recommended to me by a High School golf coach in Palm Springs who has his whole team use it.
I have recommended this club to everyone I know. They should charge $500 for this club.

I had to replace it - too good to lose!
Date: January 21, 2006
I received the Medicus 2000 as a Christmas gift in 2004; amazing tool to tune your swing before play. Somebody must have seen the smile on my face when I was practicing - because they stole it out of my bag at a CC driving range, when I took my eye off my bag. What did I want (and get for Christmas 2005?) - a new Medicus 2000, the same gift my wife gave me last year. She was a little hesitant and asked if I wanted to exchange it out for a new putter! I declined - now, I'm waiting to see some reviews on the new dual-hinge driver... maybe cure that slice?

Smoother swing - increases accuracy and distance
Date: January 20, 2006
I found that the Medicus club has really improved my golf swing. It showed me most of the flaws in my swing. In trying to increase the distance of my drives I would try to kill the ball which was causing a hitch in my downstroke. the Medicus hinge would collapse when I did this. After practicing with this club I developed a smoother swing were I bring the club up slowly then bring the club down from the top of the arc picking speed smoothly until I hit the ball with the club head square on the ball. Before a round of golf I swing the Medicus a half dozen times to get the right tempo for my swing.

This club really works! In the short time I've had it, it has really helped correct my swing. I tried the club at a friends house one weekend and couldn't believe the improvement in my swing. Once I got home, I ordered the club on Tuesday.
