MACGREGOR MT Forged Iron Set 3-PW with Nippon Steel Shafts

MacGregor MT Forged Iron Set 3-PW with Nippon Steel Shafts The classically shaped, forged face clubheads found in the MT Irons use Cup Face 360 deg technology to enhance distance and shot accuracy. MT irons are designed for low- to mid-handicap players who want classic head shapes combined with game improvement technology. This model features a forged, Cup Face plasma welded to a 17-4 sole and hosel and body so the entire clubface is the sweet spot. Even off-center or miss-hits will send your ball directly on target. The classic blade profile is hardly noticeable as it's a bit larger than traditional blades, hiding a slightly greater offset and a wider sole to provide jaw-dropping forgiveness. The undercut cavity provides low weight and is inset towards the face to move the center of gravity (CG) forward to enhance trajectory control. The raised wedge design optimizes power and feel at impact, while the club's weighting allows the lofts to be strengthened for added distance without red

Great Set of Irons

The best set of irons I have ever owned. The shafts, top line, and sole are just what I have been looking for. The performance of a pro line club at a fraction of the price.

May change the shafts to TT Lite or TT High Launch will will be easier to hit than the Nippon R Flex shaft which is a bit tight. The head on this club is outstanding.

Wow I am impressed
Date: September 13, 2009
I have been looking for a set of clubs for months. I went into golfsmith to get to the Cleveland cg7, well the sales guy asked me to hit the MacGregor mt tours and MT Forged cavity back. They both felt great, the ball just coming off the club. Well since I bought these in the first of August I played about 7 rounds, and not one complaint. I now been able to put a draw on my 3 and 4 iron that I had not had before. The control and feel on this clubs are great along with distance. I swing at about 122 so I am putting my 6 iron out at about 190 yards. I hope Golfsmith can keep MacGregor going since they bought the name, and keep the great performace of their clubs.

Great clubs
Date: September 12, 2009
These clubs are great. I am hitting the ball better than ever. The clubs live up to what they said they were designed for. I look forword to playing these for a while to come. It will be intersting to see what golfsmith does with Mac Gregor now that they own them.

Great irons
Date: July 28, 2009
These irons are terrific for the better player, but require a higher than average swing speed in order to exploit their full potential. Forged cup-face technology make these the best looking and best performing clubs in MacGregor's 2008 lineup. Nippon shaft is great too. I'm thinking about getting another set while they're still available.
