Let me lay the facts down on these irons, plain and simple... For the above average ballstriker, these irons provide the best feel and versatility of any irons on the market. The combination of a densly forged clubhead and True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts provide feel rivalled only by the Titleist 600 series and Nike's Forged Blade. Looks are stunning, a small amount of offset, thin topline and a bright, durable chrome finish. Playability is top-notch. The small head works well through any type of rough for pitch shots or full rips. For the better player, the traditional lofts are great for nice yardage gaps and desireable distances (no more 150 yard pitching wedges). All-in-all, these are the purest, truest irons in production.
Forgiveness is what you would expect. Even if your handicap is less than 10 or 12, these irons may not be for you. If you strike the ball squarely, these irons are a real treat. If your current irons have ball marks on the shiny part of the club out near the end of the toe or all over the hosel, do not buy these.
Unless you are playing with broken clubs, you won't gain distance with this set. The shafts are tour weight and the lofts are traditional. This set will play around a club and a half shorter than something like a R7 CGB, Wilson D7 or the like. But, getting back to the point I made earlier, the better player doesn't want a 9-iron that's 3/4" longer than standard with 40* of loft and a 95 gram shaft.
Bare minimum requirements... 82 to 85 MPH swing speed with a 6-iron, and a solid swing. If you have those things, this set will be in your bag for a very long time.
