Excellent Wedges

I just replaced my wedge set (gap, lob, sand) with these Victory Red Wedges. I must say that I get some serious spin with this wedges and can literally get pitch shots to stop after a bounce or two like the pros. Some fall backs, these wedges have a heavier shaft by using the S400. Also the High Rev grooves really chew up the ball. Nonetheless, with the spin technology, these wedges will give you confidence of attacking the pin at any lie. I highly recommend these wedges to the low-mid handicap golfer!

I Finally replaced my old wedges with the new Victory Red wedges. I should have done it a couple of years ago. Its amazing what you can do with new grooves. The Victory Red wedges really grab the ball. I can really make the ball dance now. I tried most of the other top wedges. These wedges just felt the most comfortable. Great feel and sound at contact.

Great wedge

I have been very pleased with the new victory red wedge. I only have a sand wedge right now, but I plan to get a 60*, and 52* soon. I only wish I had waited to get all three in the new black satin look that was displayed in the latest catalog.
This club produces lots of backspin. I got up and down for par 5 times last round. To up hill pins I was able to hit it 5 feet short of the hold let it hop once and stop. My last wedge was a cavity back cast iron, so that might be the biggest difference, but I really like the action on this nike wedge. If you are making a similar switch as me be ready for a slightly lower ball flight initially. But once you get used to it, you will love it.

These wedges are incredible and very very durable. I switched from the Titleist Vokey (56* & 60*) to these (56* & 60*). I have never brought the ball back as far as these wedges have. I was able to adjust to them pretty easily and you can not even tell that I have played 3 rounds with them, they still look new! My Titleist Vokey's looked worn after about 3-4 rounds. Nike has made a great wedge!

Nike's 2008 VR Forged Wedges have an incredible combination of feel, forgiveness, playbility and a tremendous ability to produce spin. These are the strongest wedge offering from NIke to date and if you have ever played a Nike wedge in the past and thought "good but not great" with the VR wedges you will be left with the same amazement that I had when I took them out for the first time. These wedges are "dart throwers" onto the greens, everything just drops and stops and the lob wedge is soooo easy out of the sand. If you are a Vokey, Cleveland loyalist, then don't try the VR Wedges, because you will switch.....guaranteed.
