Snake Eyes Viper Tour Iron Head

Snake Eyes Viper Tour Iron Head: This Snake Eyes Viper Tour Iron Head was designed with the mid-to-low handicap player in mind. Avid players will appreciate the forgiveness on off-center hits, while the design maintains a traditional set up with a thin topline, beveled tour-grind sole and minimal offset. Precision cast from soft 304 steel, Viper Tour irons can be adjusted for loft/lie up to 4 degrees. Viper Tour iron heads feature 8-gram weight increments allowing for a progressive swingweight set. When built with traditional 1/2-inch length increments in the set, these irons offer a closely MOI (Moment of Inertia) matched set. Learn about MOI matching with 8-gram weight increments in our Matching Made Easy article. Download Viper Tour Iron Clubhead Specs (187 KB)

Great clubs
Date: July 21, 2009
I purchaesd the Viper Tour Irons to replace a set of Snake Eyes FMC1 forged irons I had worn out. The heads are a little smaller than most new clubs, but I've found them easy to hit. I love the spin they put on the ball. The first wedge shot I hit into a green spun the ball like a pro. For the better golfer, these clubs are as good as any I've ever hit.

Great so far
Date: December 17, 2008
The viper tour is a really nice head to hit, good responsive feel. I like the smaller head, the trajectory is what I like, I tried some more "game improvement" type heads and hit a lot of pop flies, not for me. I paired them with project x 5.5 shafts, kind of expensive but sofar seems worth it.

Great feel

This iron feels as good as a forged but with our the harsh feedback. When you hit a good shot you are rewarded with the feel and performance. When you hit a bad shot, you can tell in the hands with out it harshness or mass loss of distance.

Fells solid and pure when hit in the sweet spot. Off center hit did not waver off line all that much. Great look and fell. ended up building the whole set.

FEELS FORGED
Date: December 27, 2007
I have recently began hitting SE clubs and I have been working with a local pro who uses SE 600B's. I didn't know I could hit a blade but he has proved different. The 600B's as you know are phasing out so they are not to easy to find. The 675's are nice but they sport a little larger head and price than I like. I came upon the new SE Viper Tour at the new GS Store in Raleigh, NC. The topline is about as thin as you can find in the new clubs. I paired a 7I with a TT Dynalite Gold, tipped about R+ (SS 85-90) and it feels as good as the 600's. I intend to get the full set and mount them on some TT Black Golds. . They look like forged, they work the ball like forged but they ain't priced like forged. Worth every penny!!
