Snake Eyes 675TM Forged Wedge Head

Snake Eyes 675TM Forged Wedge Head: Billet forged from soft 1030 carbon steel, the Snake Eyes 675TM wedges offer versatile playability from the fairway, rough or bunker. The unique sole design places more bounce and width in the toe side, while the heel has less bounce and more relief for shots played with the face open. Great for use in bunkers with medium to softer sand. Download 675TM Wedge Clubhead Specs (167 KB)

Spin, Spin, Spin

Wore out my 655TM's so I purchased all 3 of these heads and paired them with Rifle spinner shafts. By simply changing hand position on my swing, I find that I can drop & stop each wedge, or fly the pin and spin it back, both with great ease. The heads are softer and more responsive than the 655's and fit my 675C iron set nicely. The Spinner shafts in combination with these heads gives me an excellent feel for full and less than full shots. Distance control is very good. Overall, I'd rate these wedges as the best I've hit yet.

Try it and you will believe
Date: September 30, 2008
Bought all three of the heads and built them to the recommendations of Dave Pelz and his company. Regular flex for feel, shortening each wedge 1/2" progressively the same way the set is and a heavier swingweight than the rest of my irons. These clubs are really great. The put such spin on the ball that is difficult to believe and you can hit them very high or low.
My only complaints are a lack of bounce/loft options (the 60 has quite a bit of bounce making it not so ideal for tight lies) and they are definitely soft and get "dinged" easily, but then so do the forged irons I play so what are you going to do?
Will be ordering another set to use just for practice.

great feel with lots of spin
Date: September 20, 2008
This head when paired with the Tru-Temper Gold shaft has great feel on chip and pitch shots. From the fairway I have had solid shots that stop on a dime, with less bounce towards the heel this club has worked well from most any lie even sand, which I have usually struggled with. This wedge has taken 3 to 4 strokes off my game !!!

Reliable wedge

I was replacing a lost Snake-eyes wedge and this is better than the one I replaced. It is very reliable and has a great feel around the greens.

Solid Feel

This club has a very solid feel and the sole seems to have very little drag. Great out of heavy grass and puts lots of spin on ball. Love it after only a few rounds.

My new favorite club!!!
Date: July 2, 2008
My clubmaker here in Stephen's City, Va suggested this head to me, and I've got to say this is by far the best club I have in my bag. It's taken 4-5 strokes off my game as I'm able to control my shots with it and get it in with a one putt as opposed to two. I can control the spin great coming off a decent lie and especially when in the sand. I'm able to open the face wide open and still make solid contact everytime and stop it on a dime. The spin milling on the face will literally take off the outer shell of the ball it has so much bite. I don't mind changing balls more often if I'm shooting lower scores. If you've come around to realize that the short game is where it's at....get this club....period. I got the 56 and am about to get the 60 as well!

SOLID FEEL FROM THE BOTTOM UP. BALL WILL NOT RIDE UP THE GROOVES LIKE ALOT OF OTHER SO CALLED TOUR GRINDS. YOU CAN CONTROL NOT ONLY THE SPIN BUT THE HEIGHT OF YOUR SHOTS JUST BY ADJUSTING YOUR BALL POSITION. THIS CLUB DOES ADD BOUNCE WHEN OPENING THE FACE; BUT I USE A DIFFERENT WEDGE SET-UP FOR THOSE SITUATIONS, ANYWAY. EASY TO DIAL IN SWING WEIGHTS, I USE A S.L. DYNAMIC GOLD/ REG FLEX. ACTS LIKE A LATE RELEASE SHAFT, AND I GET CONSISTANT FEEL WITH THIS SET-UP. I ALSO HAVE THE P-W THROUGH 5-IRON IN THE FORGED SET. EXCEPT IN THICK BERMUDA, I CAN PLAY THESE CLUBS WITHOUT OVER -DIGGING. BALL FLIGHT IS EASILY CONTROLLED IN THE IRONS AS WELL. I AM APPROX. HALF A CLUB LONGER IN CARRY DISTANCE DURING NORMAL CONDITIONS. PLAY AS WELL AS MY TOUR CAVITYS BUT ARE MORE PRECISE AND MUCH EASIER TO CONTROL.

Great out of the sand
Date: March 13, 2008
This is just a great club head. I used a Dynamic Gold shaft in it with the Lamkin Crossline Grips. With the tour milled face it comes out of the sand and stops and most of the time get some back spin. Just a wonderful club.

Finally Retro perfection!!!
Date: January 6, 2008
I have been anxiously awaiting a return to 1030 carbon and the original preworn wedge conformation of the original Snake eyes wedges! Here it is guys...a virtually perfect all-round wedge! Golfsmith...we need a "low bounce - high loft" option. For your customers this year consider recommending this 675TM wedge over the "set matching" wedge in sand/lob or at least in lob. Your customers will find it a much more versatile club.
