Snake Eyes Custom C Forged Semi-Finished Head Set
Snake Eyes Custom-C Irons Based on the design of the popular Snake Eyes 600C forgings, the Custom-C irons were developed for Golfsmith's Master Craftsman School enabling custom modification to this traditional cavity back design. Billet forged from a proprietary stainless steel, the Custom-C irons can be ground and mirror polished without the need of chrome plating to preserve its finish. Heads are approximately 25 grams heavier than traditional head weights providing the clubmaker flexibility in its shaping.

I received a Golfsmith brochure at home and saw these heads and immediately they jumped out at me. I had been contemplating buying the regular 600 C's for my next set and when I saw these custom grinds I jumped all over them. THe idea of being able to custom fit a not only a shaft but also a swingweight is what sold me. I like a heavier head and using lead tape is such a pain as you are constantly having to repair the soft lead tape as the clubs bang together in the bag.
I have played OE equipment for 30 years and never thought I'd buy anything other than OE, but the reality is nowadays there is no difference between OE and components unless you like paying more for a name stamped on the club head.
THese heads have a very nice look to them and the muscle back looks real "meaty" but the top lines are not to thick. Looking at the reviews of the 600 C's I am really looking forward putting together these heads.
