Snake Eyes Viper Tour Black Fairway Head

Snake Eyes Viper Tour Black Fairway Head: Designed with the highest pro-quality standards in mind, the Viper Tour family delivers the technology and looks that better players prefer. Rich aesthetics, adjustable weights and innovative shaping make it a high-prestige choice for the mid-to-low handicapper. The Snake Eyes Viper Tour Black Fairway Head has a thin, Carpenter Custom 455 steel face that allows for a more elastic transfer of energy on off-center strikes. Three-weight technology (3WT) gives players the ability to customize ball flight. The clubhead comes standard with twin 2-gram weights in the heel and toe skirt areas, with a single, heavier 6-gram middle rear port for neutral flight. A black physical vapor deposition (PVD) finish provides a super rich appearance. Download Viper Tour Black Fairway Wood Clubhead Specs (216 KB)

Worst purshcase ever
Date: October 6, 2009
I have purchased componets for 18+ years from Golfsmith. This is the worst clubhead I have ever gotten. I tried to use it for a month, but the clubhead was not square as advertised. It literally was 5+ degrees closed or more. Unlike my Snakes Eyes Ti-Steel which is square when set on the ground this faces dead left. If you have a terrible slice this one may be for you. If you have a semblance of a swing run from this one. If it was made square it would be a good club.

Almost eveything I wanted.

I love this 3 wood. I had a Mamba 3 wood that I fell in love with last year, but then lost consistency with it. This club looks great and compares to any Snake Eyes or any other 3 wood I have hit. I do wish snake Eyes would make smaller wood heads though. Great price, great looks, easy to hit.

WOW! What a deal!
Date: June 23, 2009
I now own the rescue club head along with this 3 wood. Both of them have filled the gap between my 3-iron and driver very nicely and given me confidence in my game once again. I recently BOMBED this club from a side hill lie, 286 yards uphill! I would HIGHLY recommend this club head to anyone seeking to increase distance without adding a heavy club to their bag. It's a GREAT DEAL and with the moveable weights it can be set up for anyone!

Easiest Fairway Wood to hit
Date: May 5, 2009
I built this club to replace an older non-adjustable weight Snake Eyes 15 degree fairway wood. Was concerned about getting the ball up but with a low-kickpoint shaft & a 12 gram weight in the sole it has an almost perfect trajectory. Love the ability to adjust the club through weighting (I fight to keep my fade from becoming a slice) and am able to hit this club straight (always a plus!) to about 220 yards.

This is a bomb!

Matched up the 14* 3wood with a Graphite Design YS-7+ shaft and cut down to 42" to create a control monster. And this is that and then some, lost absolutely no distance from old 3wood but gained so much more control. I was 245 out on a par 5 today and stuck this to within 10 feet. Set it up for a fade and I can go at this 3wood as hard as I want and I am still able to control it with a nice power fade.

Top Gun Again
Date: February 14, 2009
I built this as a replacement for an older Snake Eyes 3 wood with the Carpenter steel face. This thing ROCKS!! I drove two short par fours (235 & 228) my first time out landing on the greens. I loved my other three wood but 25 more yards is hard to ignore plus the adjustable weights make it that much better. I have tried my friends pro line clubs but this clubhead has them beat. They just shake thier heads in disbelief. Plus I built it, how good is that!!
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Features, explosive pop

My FAVORITE club in the bag!
Date: October 17, 2008
Looks. Feel. Results! There's not a thing I can say bad about this club! It feels balanced and the yardage I'm getting has been nothing short of phenomenal.
I laugh to myself when I see the brand names in the "trades" with sky-high prices, but I really feel you can't go wrong with the Snake Eyes Viper collection along with saving yourself a heap of money!

one hot head
Date: May 7, 2008
I used this head to replace a former Golfsmith 3 wood. The first time I hit it I was impressed! Seemed to be very hot and the sound was solid. I like this in a head, not the tin can sound. I will eventually order the matching heads. My son, who is a scratch golfer, was very impressed with the club. The slim profile gives you confidence on the tightest of lies.

Sweet All Around

I was very excited to put these on my Proforce V2 Fairway shafts and was rewarded greatly. I have a bit of a natural draw bias and if I weight the clubhead for a fade, it goes dead straight. Just what I was looking for.
Great look, sound, and feel. Nice job with this head and the other Tour Blacks.

Snake Eyes Strong 3
Date: March 13, 2008
My customer was looking for a 3 wood less than 15 degrees. This met his requirements and with the Aldila Gamer Shaft he hits it straight and 25-30 yards longer than his previous 3 wood.

Almost 5-stars
Date: January 3, 2008
I have been looking for a 3-wood that has the feel of the old Snake Eyes Fire-Forged. This club has that same great feel at impact. It is as advertized...low launch, and very workable.
The only thing that keeps this clubhead from a fifth star is the location of the center removable weight: on the sole, it gathers turf when hit from the fairway. So if you are a headcover user, you'll need to clean off the sole after every hit or leave the cover off till the end of play.
Otherwise, looks, feels, and plays great.
