Snake Eyes Mamba 2 Fairway Head

Snake Eyes Mamba 2 Fairway Head: The Mamba brings forth second generation square-headed technology to create a super high MOI. The shape of the head, coupled with a sweeping sole design, moves mass back to the heel and rear toe areas of the clubhead. The elongated face design plus the rear spoiler of the head featuring twin exhaust weights places mass at the extreme four corners of the Mamba 2 Fairway Head, raising the MOI to the highest of any Snake Eyes driver ever created. The shape of this square fairway wood is softened around the perimeter to be more pleasing to players. Download Mamba 2 Fairway Wood Clubhead Specs (186 KB)

I have the 5 wood and this head is great. It is easy to use when you are in the fairway and especially the rough. Ball gets up fast and stays on line.

Great 3 wood!
Date: July 1, 2009
Bought the fairway head only and added a Aldila 60 "By You" Stiff shaft. First swing of the club on a golf course....stuck it 15 feet from the hole from about 240.
Easy to hit from rough, fairway or the tee box. Different looking club but results will outweigh the ribbing from your golfing buddies.

Long and straight!
Date: January 23, 2009
I bought this head on recommendation from the reviews I read here. They weren't wrong. I built the 3 and 5 wood and the snake eyes pro launch blue shafts.
As soon as I took them to the range, all I could do was hit them straight or with a slight draw, without adjusting the weights. ON the course I also added approximately 20-30 yards more distance. I finally found a fairway head that I hit consistently, and with added distance. Well recommended!
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, accuracy and distance

Long and Straight
Date: October 22, 2008
I have always had difficulty getting any height with any of my fairway woods. I also hit a draw that can quickly hook on me. Not anymore.
I built a 3w with an Adila NVS shaft and matching Snake Eyes Orange and Black grip. Looks alone get high marks. This is one of the most solid hitting and feeling clubs I have ever used. It launches the ball with plenty of height and the flight is straight as an arrow, My golfing buddies have already put in requests for some. I will make the matching 5 w for myself in the near future,
Pros: Easy to Use, straight

Performance and unreal Quality
Date: October 13, 2008
built the 5 wood with a ust proforce classic x flex shaft and blue golfsmith velvet grip. I put a 12g wieght in the heel and 2 in the toe.
Absolutlely blown away by the performance and quality of this head. It holds up to any name brand I have tried. I put this club in my bag over a Tour Edge Exotics CB2 (expensive).
This club has a really powerfull feel at impact and is straight. I have severly misshit this club and still the ball went long and straight. One was so off centre and still went awesome... I couldn't help but laugh.
Excellent head...you will certainly enjoy it!

Great new club
Date: October 1, 2008
Got this club to replace a much older 3 wood that I had, the shaft I put with the head was the adilia n65 extra stiff and the results are great. I will be making the 5 wood as well.

These are the best fairway woods I have ever used and I have used a lot. They hit the ball far and straight. I find them easy to get airborne.

The missing club!!!
Date: August 11, 2008
I have a 15 deg hybrid but I needed a 3 wood (i.e longer shaft) for the extra distance. Wow this thing is awesome. My friend build me two Snake Eyes hybrids and now this 3 wood Mamba with the ALDILA V-SE60 shaft. It is pure and straight with a weaker version of the tin can poke the Mamba driver makes. i'm considering changing my Nike irons and R-7 driver for all Snake Eyes.

What's wrong with straight?
Date: July 18, 2008
Seriously, this club is really straight and easy to hit. Just put it together with an Aldila NV shaft that I already had in a 3-wood...great combo. A little different at first but you quickly get over that.

My new "go-to" club
Date: May 15, 2008
I wanted to assemble or buy a new fairway metal for this season, and the Mamba 2 was a tremendous choice. I wanted to try the square-design metal woods, and this head does not disappoint. I was susprised at how good it looks at address, and I was worried that I wouldn't feel comfortable with the shape. I put a Dynamic Gold s-300 shaft in this club, and even with the heavy steel shaft I get the ball airborne with ease. This club head feels extremely solid on impact, and even feels great on off-center hits. I have played it off the tee as well as off the fairway, and it is equally impressive in both situations.

It's a Hammer
Date: March 30, 2008
Today was my first round with it and I think it is the best 3 wood I have ever hit, long and straight normally high, but you can punch it low and straight. It was pretty straight all day. Impact is loud and solid.
