My Best Fairway Wood
Date: August 13, 2009
I have tried several heads and combinations lately to find the right fairway wood. I used the Viper XT with a UST Proforce shaft and a GolfPride DD2 grip. This is my best combination so far. I get long straight shots from the fairway, rough, or tee. I also like the quality of the head. It looks good and feels and sounds solid.

Great club
Date: August 6, 2009
I have only played the new clubs a few times, but wow what a difference in the new technology. I hope these last as long as my last golfsmith clubs, I built those in 1994 and just stopped playing them!

WOW!
Date: June 18, 2009
Great metalwood. The best I've hit. The ball just explodes off the clubface. Easy to get in the air and very forgiving.
This clubhead is advertised as high launch. I paired it with a UST V2 stiff shaft and found the flight to be mid-high and penetrating.
No need to buy the titanium model, save your money!

Great Fairway Metal
Date: May 4, 2009
Not only a great looking club, but excellent all around. Easy to align, solid feel and sound and forgiving. I shafted it with a Grafalloy Pro Launch Hybrid shaft (stiff flex) and I couldn't love it more. Great off the tee or fairway.

Forgiving FW metal
Date: April 1, 2009
I paired this with a V-2 reg. shaft for my 3 metal & a prolaunch FW for a 5 metal for my son. Both are great, long & forgiving. Higher launch with the prolaunch, very penetrating with the V-2. i'll probably build me a 5 metal as well.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, very fogiving

Absolutely Fantastic
Date: March 16, 2009
The first three or four times I hit these fairway heads (3 and 5) I thought I had made the perfect club. These are long and straight and the launch angle is great. Longer than the viper tour and relatively easy to work. Didn't have to change the weighs or even experiment with changing the weight. Put the snake eyes prolaunch blue in both. For the money, you can't go wrong with these heads.

Great Fairway Woods
Date: January 18, 2009
These are probably the best all around fairway wood I have played to date. They are easy to hit of the tee and off the fairway, are very forgiving, has a great sound and feel, are very good looking and the details are first rate. The face height is ideal (low to mid) and they are longer heal to toe which inspires confidence at address (similar to TM Burners). I also like the weight screw for adjusting the swingweight and launch angle. They also sets up very square at address.
I built both the 3 and 5 woods with a SST PURED Pro Launch Blue 65 gram shafts. The lengths are 3 / 43" and 5/ 42.5". The swingweights are D-4 (8 gram weights installed in the adjustable weight port). I would highly recommend these fairway woods to all skill levels of player.

Solid performer
Date: December 29, 2008
I built this with a Snake eyes edition prolaunch blue FW shaft, both of which i got a great deal on through friends and family sale. I'm a definate x flex and the shaft was a stiff but it was a heavier FW model at 85 grams and I wanted to experiment building my own clubs.
I've only hit it a few times but I must say, i've pounded it straight and very long. Playing winter conditions today where balls plugged, I carried this baby a legitimate 260 according the marking feature on my gps. It sets up nicely with a great profile for hitting off the deck as well. Ball flight is high which i know is a function of this shaft, but if I can hit a 3 wood 260 and have it land as soft as it did, I think this just may be a gamer and the whole club cost me about 50 bucks to build including the grip! only thing i'm not a fan of is the sound, it's not loud but just different to what i'm accustomed to.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Value
Cons: not in love with the sound

Solid Choice Fine Club
Date: December 5, 2008
I want to give this an honest opinion review...in doing so perhaps help another decide.
I have now played this club several rounds and although not every shot during the rounds of play was hit with this club. I have used it on the range.....I will tell you if you get the right setup there is absolutely no reason one should pay more money for proline product. This head was extremely easy to hit and very forgiving. The first hit with this club surprised me on just how hot it felt and that even though I caught it on the toe the ball worked it's self down the fairway without drifting to far off target. If that wasn't impressive enough the lie was actually a hardpan for which I should have used and iron or perhaps a hybrid. I took the opportunity to hit the 3wood off the deck. The results I would take 9 out of 10 times. When I got the opportunity to hit it off a good lie, it felt like I hit butter. Off the tee everytime I hit it regardless if I flushed it or not the ball stayed online. On one par 5 I drove 295yds with a second shot of 236yds left to the green. I used my new 3wood and landed it midcenter of the green and it held! I was putting for an eagle from 17 feet. I think the look of this club is very appealing. I will say that the weight ports do actually change the ball flight...I played with that aspect on the range. I like this club and will recommend it to others....hope you do too!
