Snake Eyes Python XL Driver Head

Snake Eyes Python XL Driver Head: The Snake Eyes Python XL Driver Head is designed for any level player seeking increased distance and accuracy with a high MOI driver. The Python XL is a super-forgiving driver engineered to deliver performance. By expanding the front-to-back breadth dimension and adding a tungsten backweight, the center of gravity (CG) location is more rearward than most 460cc drivers. This helps maximize both the launch angle and forgiveness of the driver. Python XL driver heads are right at the ceiling for the USGA's head dimensions - just under 5"x 5". The Python XL brings an extra large titanium driver at the 460cc size limit with over 5,000 g/cm^2 MOI. Features: At address, the full-sized bullet shape and crown striping aid in alignment and promote a slight in-to-out path to promote a draw Download Python XL Driver Clubhead Specs (212 KB)

My wife loves this driver!
Date: October 9, 2009
I purchased and made this for my wife. 13.5 degrees to match her swing speed. She has learned to move her head just enough to maximize her loft and distance. She is driving about 180 to 200. The accuracy is very nice and she is leaning to love this. She stated, and I saw for myself, that she is really driving it straight and long.

Great Driver
Date: August 2, 2009
This is a great club head. The big 460cc face takes a while to get used to, but once you get more comfortable with it you wont be disappointed. The bigger head provided the forgiveness I needed / wanted. This club helps provide confidence for those long par 5s; it hits well, goes far, goes straight, and sounds great. I love this club head!!

Disappointed
Date: July 29, 2009
Went back to my 13.5 degree Hi Cor Plus. I hit a pretty low trajectory shot so purchased an 11.5 and later a 13.5 Hi-Cor Plus driver. Playing the Hi Cor 13.5 with great results and distance I felt the 13.5 (HL) Python with larger head and advanced technology would add even more distance. Not so. It hits a very high shot and took off about 20 yards in distance.

SNAKE EYES Python XL Driver Head

driver was fantastic with good distance and flight. Paired with the aldila sv 65 stiff shaft. Was very disappointed after the head cracked after about 4 rounds from the hosel to the toe on the crown. Was sent a new head and shaft. Hopefully the cracked head is not a re-occuring theme and this one will last.

Jumps off center of club face much more than my old Ping G5. Feels lighter. The 460 head is the only thing I do not like (around 400-420 I like)

Awsome driver...
Date: May 19, 2009
One word comes to mind when I think about the Snake Eyes Python driver and fairway woods. AWSOME....
As a custom club builder, I carry a number of demo clubs that are similar to other name brand heads on the market. I stand behind many of these clubs due to testing and playing them on a regular basis.
I matched a Snake Eyes Python 9.5 degree driver and fairway 3 wood with the Aildila NV shafts designed for the heads. After building the clubs, I could only hope they would perform as well as they looked.
Remember their original purpose? After testing the driver and fairway 3 wood, they never made it to the demo bag. Instead, with the addition of a fairway 5 wood, they are now in my personal bag.

I got the Python XL as a Christmas present. At the range it didn't seem any more impressive then other drivers I've hit so, it took me awhile to bring it to the course. My first drive was good. The rest of my drives were fantastic! 20 yards longer than usual and, only missed one fairway. With the Snake Eyes ProLaunch Blue shaft I bought on closeout, this club will be in my bag for a long time.

Wow! Great looking club that is very forgiving. Ball goes a mile even on not so good hits. Previous club was Callaway 454 which I really like, but it is sitting in a corner after hitting this club. Paired with the matching Aldila Snake Eyes shaft. Great combo! Highly recommend for the money.

Big Drives with accuracy
Date: May 4, 2009
I've delayed buying a new big head driver as long as I could. Finally purchased the Python and I am stunned, amazed, and pleased how much it improved my game. I'm hitting 20-30 yards further and with more accuracy. I would have settled for the accuracy and the yardage is just a bonus, a big bonus. I'm quite pleased!

Awesome Driver
Date: March 12, 2009
I’ve tried many different drivers over the years; this is truly a great driver head. This driver head has a very forgiving sweet spot I don’t always hit the center of the face. The high MOI design and tungsten back weight must really make this an easy hitting driver because I consistently get absolutely good distance and accuracy on my drives
Built with the True-Temper Bi-Matrix shaft, increase distance by 10 yards and was able to control the ball flight. A great massive weapon for the 2009 season!

May be the best driver I've had
Date: January 7, 2009
I’ve tried many different drivers over the years, some of them very good, but the Snake Eyes Python XL may be the best. This driver head is HUGE and it seems to have a generous sweet spot because I hit good drives even though I don’t always hit the center of the face (like a lot of average golfers!). The high MOI design and tungsten back weight must really make this a forgiving driver because I consistently get fairly good distance and accuracy on my drives (provided I put a reasonable swing on it). This is also a great looking driver head and the sound at impact (a soft “ping”) is great for a high MOI driver. This is a great driver head and I’m glad I bought it.

Very nice!
Date: January 2, 2009
Mounted it on a stiff Proforce XT shaft. Took it to the course for the first time having never even taken a full swing, or hitting a ball with it. My first drive was down the middle, and about 240 yards. I looked at the clubface, and saw that I hit the ball well towards the toe. But it felt solid, and I didn't feel the club twist at all. I hit more fairways that day than I ever have. On my misses I pushed the ball, but never sliced (which is my chronic problem). I'd say it does exactly what it claims.

I used this head to assemble a driver in the Complete Clubmakers class. I chose the 13.5 degree (HL) because I am just learning how to play. It instantly gave me more consistent results. Not only straighter downfield, but I was also able to make better contact with the ball so I am getting more distance.
