Snake Eyes Python XL Fairway Head

Snake Eyes Python XL Fairway Head: Python XL Fairway heads have a low/rearward center of gravity (CG) thanks to their low face profile, broad front-to-back breadth and tungsten rear weight. These design features all help provide a high MOI and are easy to launch from any lie. A proprietary high-strength steel alloy cup face provides a hot feel while allowing mass to be positioned in the back of the clubhead. The cup face construction places the weld line off the back of the face for better energy transfer. An alignment design on top of the club aids in swing path imagery with a slight draw path. What a club
Date: October 3, 2009
I have been playing Golfsmith Hicor Plus 3,5,7 for a long time. I have tried others but have stuck with these. Th SE Python XL fairway woods are the best I have ever played. Control, Distance, ball flight, and nice to look at.

The best set up and most solid contact I've ever had with a 3 wood. I matched it with the Aldila NV 65 shaft and the combination is terrific.

Awsome Fairway Wood
Date: May 19, 2009
One word comes to mind when I think about the Snake Eyes Python metal woods.
AWSOME....
As a custom club builder, I carry a number of demo clubs that are similar to other name brand heads on the market. I stand behind many of these clubs due to testing and playing them on a regular basis.
I matched a Snake Eyes Python 9.5 degree driver and fairway 3 wood with the Aildila NV shafts designed for the heads. After building the clubs, I could only hope they would perform as well as they looked.
Remember their original purpose? After testing the driver and fairway 3 wood, they never made it to the demo bag. Instead, with the addition of a fairway 5 wood, they are now in my personal bag.
Pros: Quality, Features, very forgiving

This is a great compliment to the XL driver. It is a dream to hit, and that adds a lot of confidence. I personally like to play the same type shaft (stiffness and model), as I do in my driver.

SNAKE EYES Python XL Fairway Woods
Date: March 4, 2008
I liked the Python XL driver so much that I had to have the matching 3 and 5 woods. My expectations were high so I was very pleased to find out that they performed as well as the driver does. They are very solid in both sound and feel. They are longer heel to toe than other GS offerings which I really like and they perform very nicely off of the deck and are even better off of the tee. Golfsmith definately has another winner on their hands. My shafts are SST PURED UST V2 HL 65 (stiff flex), D-4 swingweight and the lengths are 43" (3 wood) and 42.5" (5 wood).
I would highly recommend this fairway woods.

This fairway wood head fits the eye very comfortably and combined with the Pro Vista 50 shaft, has delighted my client. I use the previous version myself, and this one seems to get the ball up off the fairway even easier.

Great addition to my bag
Date: February 3, 2008
Just built this 3-Wood with a Graffaloy Attack Lite shaft this weekend. Took it to the driving range today and hit several dozen balls.. It has a great feel, high trajectory for me, and long and straight. Not a bad combo . I see this coming out of the bag on the tee box a little more often. I think the shaft is a great match, and the clubhead is shap looking. I have had 18 and 21 (orig Quick Strike)degree hybrids in my bag and took an old golfsmith 3 and 5 wood out a year ago. Will be very glad to have a 3 wood back! Great combo for $75
