Snake Eyes Viper Tour SV1 Putter Head

Snake Eyes Viper Tour Blade Putter Head: The new Snake Eyes Viper Tour Blade Putter carries forward traditionally shaped blade designs, with the addition of roll optimization technology in its face. Double milling lines, cut horizontally across the face, create a center friction zone. This face design requires less loft to achieve an efficient roll of the ball, and its waffle milling results in dampened vibration upon ball contact. In short, less putter material contacts the ball, resulting in a softer feel.

Excellent Quality!
Date: November 10, 2009
I have a soft spot for 8802 style putters, naturally I gravitated towards this. I am extremely impressed by Snake Eyes' quality control. This head is extremely well-made. The milling on the face is immaculate and the black finish is downright sexy. Great feel off the face, perfect combination of soft and solid. Great sound as well. My only gripe is that the head has a full shaft offset, it looks a little funny but I can deal with it. For $30, you can't beat this!

Back to Basics
Date: October 11, 2009
I bought this putter head to get back to basics after REALLY struggling with my putting. I'm a good player (8 handicap) but I was routinely missing 4 footers. I was about ready to quit the game. If you've been there, you know the feeling. You feel like you can't hole a putt no matter how well you hit an iron or a pitch.
I wanted a simple, low-tech blade that would let me know if my problems where in the putter path or face angle.
Mission accomplished. I holed the first three putts I looked at on the course. Two nice par saves and a makeable birdie - the kind of putts that had been killing my scores. I continue to make the 4 footers two months later.
This blade is pleasing to the eye. It's easy to align and the ball rolls where you aim. The milled face and feel of the blade offer good speed control when lag putting.
Get back to basics. No perimeter weighting, no face balancing, just a pure blade that will give you the feedback you need.

Exceeded Expectations!
Date: August 29, 2009
If you're looking to get back to basics with your putting stroke, this is the clubhead for you. What an incredibly buttery smooth feel! The simple shape and lack of sight line markings let your mind focus on putting the ball in the hole. Sounds silly but it's true. My short putts are now diving in the middle of the hole. Awesome putter head!

This thing is SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!
Date: August 3, 2009
This thing is one of pure feel and joy to use and putt with. It is balanced nicely and is easy to adapt to using. I am not one that buys a putter because I struggle with my putting at times, but when I saw it, it looked great to the eye, as well as the wallet. It is hard to believe that something of this quality can be done for under $50, including a head cover. I am really impressed with this entire club, including the basic step less shaft I used and the Golf Pride V-Rad grip. I don't see this one leaving the bag for some time.

Beautiful, balanced & accurate
Date: July 7, 2009
I had an Arnold Palmer blade putter (chrome plated with a light brown leather wrap grip) that was absolutely gorgeouswhich cost me about $75 between 15 and 20 years ago, but I eventually gave it away because I could not putt accurately with it. This putter head, combined with the Winn Jumbo putter grip (black), is also absolutely beautiful and I can hit the ball straight to where I am aiming. Stupendous putter head - to say the least., and putter head, shaft, grip, and assembly cost approx. $15 less than the blade putter I had before (described above).
Pros: Quality, Durability, Good Value, there are no cons

Sharp Look, Solid Feel
Date: June 30, 2009
This is an amazing blade! It sets up sharp with a great flow. It's solid and consistent across the face. The tow just flows with the stroke. And my favorite part is that it's possible to use the backside of the head left-handed, kinda like a little lefty chipper club! I've done it a few times, but the finish on this putter has held great thus far.
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value, can use lefty

I love a challenge!
Date: June 20, 2009
I don't subscribe to the "game improvement" approach to buying clubs. I like to use clubs that let me know beyond a shadow of a doubt whether I'm hitting it dead-on or not. It's all about the feedback, and this putter delivers. You'll know why you missed that put even if you had your eyes closed the whole time. Like most blade designs, the sweet spot is small. But when you do hit it on the sweet spot, it's like a hot knife through butter.
I also like the lack of lines and superfluous alignment aids. This makes you focus on aligning the putt, your body, and your stroke.
Classic design in sleek black finish.

great feel

As a golfer that changes putters just about as often as i change my shirt, this putter is top notch. I always ended up going back to my 8802, but wanted something with a little more weight and the advantage of a milled face. This putter does not disappoint, awsome feel and good weight and with the prices of putters these days; a real winner here. This one will be staying in the bag for awhile.

Excellent putter
Date: February 27, 2009
One of the best feeling putters I have ever used(and I have never been hesitant to change putters). Alignment is very easy and the ball comes off the putter flawlessly. Ball rolls true to alignment. The putter is very easy to keep low to the ground. The look at address is very appealing to the eye and the black finish is perfect for this style. Would definitely recommend this head to anyone. For the price, this is a very, very good putter head.
