Snake Eyes Tour Platinum 7802 Putter Head

Snake Eyes Tour Platinum 7802 Putter Head: In four different body styles with three different neck designs, Snake Eyes Tour Platinum putters feature milled surfaces over their 304 soft stainless steel. The Advanced Roll Control (A.R.C.) milling pattern features a series of semicircle cuts, or scales, situated in a 440 upward angle. The width of each scale is 4 mm, compared to the average ball dimple width of 5 mm, so the edges of the scales can catch the ball s surface regardless of where they make contact. The result? A quicker overspin with less bouncing and skidding, leading to a truer roll that stays on line. Each has a rich black PVD finish with a bead-blasted topline to reduce glare. With each Snake Eyes Tour Platinum 7802 Putter Head purchased, you will receive a free putter headcover (a $9.99 value).

I fitted the putter with the Snake Eyes Stepless Steel Putter Shaft and a Winn Excel Medallist Midsize Putter Green/Gray/ Blue. The putter performed great right off the bat. It putts true with great feel on fast or slow greens. Love it on fast greens. The Winn grip was a perfect choice and glad I put it on. The putter head is made with quality and has a very visible alignment guide line. I am glad I put my money into this putter and not into an off the rack brand.

Best putter for the money
Date: September 9, 2009
Best putter for the money. Once I got used to the softer feel I came to love its accuracy. Heavier then average, feels like I use more of my muscles resulting in a more stable putt.

Best Putter Ever!
Date: July 22, 2009
I have owned & used just about any putter there is.Now I own a 2 ball & several Scottys, BUT this is now my putter of choice,I made this for me & one for a friend. This PUTTER ROCKS & Rolls putts like no other putter ! Short putts just track & roll into the hole like magic. Long putts roll so smooth that they also have a good chance to go in or finish close to the hole. What more can I say? Get 1 or 2 ASAP. The putts roll true not skid off line, way to go Snake Eyes you have a winner! Golf digest is right to give this putter an AWARD******

Great Putter
Date: July 4, 2009
Fitted with a 200g TT shaft and had GS bent the putter 3 degrees flat - great results. Nice and true roll with the putter head and the added TT shaft weight that encourages/promotes a consistent putting stroke. HIGHLY recommend this putter. Waiting for a price drop someday, and I will put my daughter into one. Of note, the alignment line is clearly visible - read a review that warned otherwise, but I do not agree.
Pros: Quality, high quality finish and appearance, you will make more putts

Great putter!
Date: May 13, 2009
This putter is as good as advertised! Once I saw it was on Golf Digest's Hot List for 2009, I ordered it. It has a great feel and weight. I started making putts right away. Every so often I try mallet style heads but keep coming back to blade putters. I think this one will be in my bag for a while.

Clean Look
Date: May 11, 2009
I've been on the lookout for an "Anser-style" head with an over-hosel shaft design. This met all my criteria. Very clean look, milled face, heel-toe weighting. The only complaint I have (very minor) is the leading edge could be a little more beveled to prevent catching the putter on the putting surface. I shafted with the True Temper 200 gram over hosel shaft, and I'm very pleased. Highly recommended.

Cons: leading edge a little too sharp

Superb
Date: April 19, 2009
I'm a big component fan (can't beat the prices and quality of products) and snake eyes has been the only component company that has produced some of my favorite putters. I had the Snake Eyes MCS 2 for a number of years which I loved. Then I tried the Viper Tour 1 which was one of the sweetest feeling putters I've ever owned. However I realized that I'm just not that consistent with my putter and decided to go with something that had a little more MOI than the Viper, I read countless reviews on the new tour platinum series and felt pretty confident in just purchasing it without trying it.
I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I'm pleased to say that this putter met all of my expectations of how a putter should look, feel, and perform.
I don't know if the face really makes that much of a difference but I love the feel, it's very buttery feel without feeling like an insert (which I've never been a big fan of). It seemed a little heavier than all of my previous putters have which was a bonus because I love the feel of heavier putters. It has such a graceful and traditional appearance that just inspires confidence over those knee-knocking 5 footers.
A superb design that I would be amazed if it didn't stay in the bag for several years.

Sensational results for me
Date: February 28, 2009
I have been having lots of trouble missing short putts (3-12 ft). After trying a number of bizarre designs I assembled this head with the recommended shaft and grip. It took me about 9 holes to get used to it (the ball goes further). During my last round I had 27 putts--9 1-putts and 9 2-putts. The putter has outstanding feel and response.

Deserves to be on GD hotlist!!!
Date: February 20, 2009
Paired up the 7802 head with a 200 gram over the hosel shaft (t2c2) and it feels great! I have had a Rife putter in the bag since the first 2-Bar and I have been reluctant to change because the grooves get the ball rolling instantly. I can now say that the Rife is out of the bag and the new SE Tour Platinum line is in! The technology on the face is better than Rife. Would compare to feel of any Cameron putter, but at 1/3 the price it was an easy decision for me!
Pros: Quality, Good Value, multiple head choices
