Snake Eyes Tour Platinum 7805 Putter Head

Snake Eyes Tour Platinum 7805 Putter Head: In five different body styles with three different neck designs, Snake Eyes Tour Platinum putters feature milled surfaces over their 304 soft stainless steel. The Advanced Roll Control (A.R.C.) milling pattern features a series of semicircle cuts, or scales, situated in a 440 upward angle. The width of each scale is 4 mm, compared to the average ball dimple width of 5 mm, so the edges of the scales can catch the ball s surface regardless of where they make contact. The result? A quicker overspin with less bouncing and skidding, leading to a truer roll that stays on line. Each has a rich black PVD finish with a bead-blasted topline to reduce glare.

7805 putter head

Have been using Snake eyes putter heads for many years, this is far and away the best. Used 200 gr shaft and Tiger Shark Jumbo at 32 1/2 in. Just heavy enough to force use of large muscles. the face does promote a straight roll and my confidence is way up. Make enough long ones to have people shaking their heads. This is a fun putter.

Great putter

Looks great and works even better--it has a heavier head which I like very much--am very pleased! Particularly good on putts inside 10 feet.

Best putter yet

I liked the entire tour platinum series looks. Waited until I had acrued enough SE points to get one because they carry a hefty price tag. Let me say, they are the most worthwhile putter SE has ever made. All the $30 to $50 putters from the past were good, but didn't have the premium fit/finish this one did.
To contradict a previous reviewer, the putter is very heavy, but this adds feel for most, especially for lag putting. Heavy putters are the rage now and I fitted mine with the T2C shaft and a GP Vrad grip. I chose this over the other Tour platinum models because of the longer alignment mark. I traditionally have used mallets and like that line for setting up my putts.
With this putter, I am able to hit the line I pick all the time (I just need to work on the line selection). It rolls very true, even when hit off the milled grooves (toe/heel).
Plus the embroidered unique SE putter head cover that comes with the head is a great fit and looks good.

Don't judge a book by its cover

I loved the look of this putter. Sets up nice, beautiful satin/platinum finsh, but...It is the heaviest putter I have ever experienced outside of a sledge hammer. I made this 33 1/2 stepless putter shaft with a standard snake eyes putter grip. Swingweight is off the charts...Due to the weight I cannot even feel the ball strike the clubface...I am sorry but you can do better ...
Pros: Good Value
Cons: Difficult to Use, Poor Design

rock solid

I have been a belly putter user for years as I really never felt comfortable with a short putter on those 3 to 4 footers you gotta make.
I put a 200 gram true temper shaft in this baby and cut it at 331/2 ". I have a dual durometer putter grip on it. The heavier overall weight has enabled me to now feel comfortable over the nock kneed 4 footers. This putter is everything advertised and more. Consistent true roll, easy to line up, very solid feel and attractive look. At set up I just feel confident over the ball. The only complaint I would have is I never got a putter head cover that fits. The standard mallet snake eyes cover does not fit properly.
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value, Features
Cons: non fitting cover

Beautiful Piece!
Date: June 4, 2009
This putter closely resembles the Odyssey Black Series i #9 tour putter.
The machine work and finish on this club is very impressive.
The scales on the face seem to promote more forward roll then I expected.
The technology is on par with or better than most having this design.
The weight is good and feels very smooth.
I would recommend this to any golfer, scratch or otherwise. Very surprising purchase!

Great putter
Date: June 3, 2009
Best component putter I have ever built. Sets up great looks great.. Rolls the ball pure and straight. It is easy to align. I have no negatives about this putter. Weight lends itself nicely to short putters. It was built at 32" with a Winn Jumbo grip. outstanding feel and balance. Buttery soft feel. Did I mention it is beautiful.
