TOUR EDGE Exotics XCG Driver

Tour Edge Exotics XCG Driver: The ground-breaking XCG serves up the most exhilarating experience in golf. It astonishes with its power and thrills with its performance. An engineering break-through, the XCG features the industry's first magnesium crown. The ultra light magnesium crown displaces more weight to the sole. This unprecedented use of magnesium creates an extreme CG (center of gravity) position and high MOI (moment of inertia) for ultra long drives. Two times lighter than typical titanium crowns, the magnesium moves more weight to the heavy steel sole for less spin and an extremely high MOI in a traditional 460cc head shape. Another benefit of magnesium is the material's dampening characteristics. The result is that the crown and neck of the XCG are able to absorb more of the shock on contact, providing a smooth, powerful feeling at impact - a feeling only the XCG can deliver. Developed for outright performance, the XCG uses the same titanium cupped face technology that too

Demoed a 9 degree stiff flex Aldila DVS more than 8 times at various places and there was no doubt in my mind that this was the BEST driver I tried. Tried Cobra S9-1, Taylor R-7, Calloway (many types) and compared it constantly to my Nickent 4DX.
Longer, much straighter, majority of ball strikes middle-middle or middle-above center just a bit.
A very controllable club with great distance, great feel, and looks good at address.
I got the Golf Pride Multi grip. Not to thrilled with that so I'll just go back to Winn grips, but that is the only thing I don't like is the grip.
This is a GREAT club, every one should try it.

Worth the price!
Date: September 30, 2008
The Exotics driver is the best I have ever hit. It just feels solid, and the ball simply explodes off the clubface. Extra distance even on off-center shots, but this club is very easy to swing. The price seems excessive until the first swing, and then it is a bargain.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, amazing distance
Cons: pricey

Long and Straight

I typically went after the big name brands when it came to clubs until someone told me to give these a try. WOW is about all I have to say. Driver, Fairway Wood, and Hybrids are all longer and straighter than any of the big names. With the reduced spin giving the added roll I am now out hitting all my playing partners off the tee and reaching a majority of the par 5's in two. Forget about the price tag... they are worth it?

great club

I have tried many different drivers trying to get more distance as I grow older. The XCG with a senior flex shaft did the trick. I added about 10-20 yards.

XCG 9 DVS X
Date: May 24, 2008
I bought this driver coming from the ft-3 tour and the G10. The ball flight is slightly lower than both of those, with similar carry. The big difference is that the XCG runs out much longer after it lands. The DVS is great shaft and fits this head well. I would definitely recommend the XCG to players with swingspeeds 100 and over, less than that and you may hit really low shots and this is a very low spin head.

Great Driver

The ball comes off the face hot and the DVS shaft gives a perfect ball flight. Very forgiving face and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for longer straighter drives.

Incredible! Long! Accurate!

This xcg driver is simply amazing. I love using equipment that has only a "cult" type following and isn't real popular with most golf addicts. The clubhead has amazing feedback-very nice spring effect and the DVS shaft has an awesome kick on the follow thru. Crunching this thing and outdriving people that play all the name brand drivers! My normal response on a drive- "ah that was just a lucky hit"- so that everyone else doesn't run out and buy this thing! I've played or hit 907D2, Nike SQ Tour, Superquad R7, and Cobra x speed, all 9.5 stiffs. My XCG is the same 9 D stiff.
