TITLEIST 906F4 Fairway Wood with Graphite Shaft

Titleist 906F4 Fairway Wood with Graphite Shaft With a lower, deeper CG (center of gravity) and more loft, the Titleist 906F4 Fairway Wood provides higher launch and ball flight from the tee or turf. The 906F4 is good for players of all swing speeds that need increased launch, spin and downrange trajectory. The pear profile of the 906F4 features a longer, shallower face for confidence and forgiveness and a square set-up that promotes a straight ball flight. A multi-material construction with a separate face insert alllows for maximum ball speed and a hot, lively feel. The 906F4 utilizes an innovative Multi-Relief Sole design that allows for crisp, solid contact from a variety of turf conditions. The Multi-Relief Sole provides greater ground clearance at the trailing edge of the sole to minimize turf resistance. The new Titleist 906F4 - take your game to a higher level.

This fairway wood is a DRIVER! I myself hit my driver about 275-280, this "fairway wood" goes about 255-260. Im the kid who was reviewing products at a 15 handicap and now im at a 4-8 handicap. I play the 15.5 and it does play with great ease. Im one of those guys who like the smaller heads on woods and this is a little bigger than i would like but the face has such a low leading edge it still launches high and straight. If you play at a good level of golf and need a FW look at this, clean address look, great workability and of course you can brag to the guys in your foursome that the FW in your bag is a Titleist.
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value, Features, great shaft in all

I have 13.5 with Aldila Proto VS, both my 1 and 3 woods. Before this, I was using F2 15 degree with DG stiff shaft. F2 was also a good club but the shaft got too heavy at the end of round. The reason that I switched to F4 was not because I was disappointed with F2 but because of the stock shaft that is consistent with my driver and hybrid(Cobra Baffler). F4 feels about the same as F2 but the sound is no better. The ball flight will vary depending on the shaft. Aldila Proto will give you higher than normal strong spoon. Of course you feel extremely comfortable at address like any other titleist fairway metals.

High Quality Player's Club
Date: November 17, 2008
A true player's club.
I bought the 13.5* and the 18.5* stiff. I can't review the stock shaft since I changed them as soon as I got them. I switched the shafts for UST V2 Proforce 75 X flex. I haven't played the 18.5* yet.
I played the 13.5* and it launches pretty low for me. Probably not higher than about 20-30 feet. However I have little experience (only about 2 months) with it so maybe it's just that I haven't figured out how to launch it high. It is after all a 3 wood and I don't expect it to launch that high from the fairway.
It's much smaller and shallower than many FW woods I've seen or played with. It's like a club from the past but with modern materials, technology and manufacturing process. I like that. However, it makes it easy to get under the ball to sky it when hitting from on a tee. I like that too. Just like the old smaller clubheads, I just have to focus much more on hitting it well than on hitting hard.
It sounds like a small anvil. It looks clean at address. It impresses the buddies who can't believe how small it is.
If you want to learn how to hit a fairway wood properly, this club will teach you the hard way. It won't ever tell you "I forgive you". But eventually it will tell you "now, you know how to play golf".

Really like this club, it has a nice flight...not too low not too high. I hit it very well from the fairway and tees. The look and feel are both great. Go put it in your bag.

Amazing Club!!!
Date: June 26, 2008
I couldn't ask for a better club. I bought the 15.5 with the vs proto shaft. All I have to say is if you have a fast club speed, get the 13.5. Don't be afraid to get the low loft. The center of gravity is so low that it will hit like a 15. I can't hit my 15.5 off the tee because of the low CG. You can hit this club off of the tighest lies, it's not even funny. Later i'm going to buy the 13.5 but I need the funds. You can't go wrong with Titleist!!!

Solid 5 Wood
Date: June 26, 2008
Purchased the 18.5 degree, stiff, Diamana as my new 5 wood. It is a great club that complements my game. Distance and control are phenomenal. I can stripe it down the fairway about 230-235 yards off the tee, and get an extra 5-10 yards roll off spin.
Shot-shaping it possible: cuts, draws, fades. Great investment for the mid-to-low handicap players (12 and under).

Great overall club for the Ball striker
Date: April 24, 2008
Right out of the box this thing for one is a beauty! the overall size of the club head is perfect for mid to low handicappers who can strike with consistency and the spoon like profile of this club is built for the ball striker in mind. If your into oversized clubs that forgive miss hits this is not for you. The 906F4 has a persimmon feel when struck correctly, i went with the vs80 proto shaft and love its responsive feedback.. when struck correctly the ball flight starts about 10-15 feet off the ground and thens starts rising with a soft land and decent spin. Great off the tee as well.

Deep! I Mean Really Deep
Date: February 20, 2008
I'm 17 and play highschool golf. I love the good click and solid feel at impact. My 3 wood i purchased is 15.5 degrees with the YS-6 stiff flex. the only problem i have with it is it leaks right because i play extra stiff insted of stiff. I would recomend this club to the 12-0 handicap. This is because titleist is still more geered towards the player side of golf. I myself am a 2 handicap so its the perfect club for me. The other day i hit it from 275 on my home course hardest par 5 it flys high enough to hold the firm greens but you can hit the stinger in the wind. Great club
