Admittedly I try many clubs - more than most golfers I suspect. I was able to hit the new Adams yesterday and I was impressed. I was hitting the ball as much as 10 yards farther than my Taylormade CGB's and gaining 2 or 3 degrees higher launch. That is a really deadly combination.
As with most game improvement irons these are extremely forgiving of off-center hits, but the greatest strength is found in the 3 separate head characteristics of the set. Hybrid long irons, modified hybrid mid-irons and cavity back short irons in a single set is a tremendous advantage for most players.
As Adams has done throughout their line, there isn't quite as much offset in the hosels and that dimension adds to the set's playability. I don't want to necessarily work the ball a great deal (I'm not that good), but I don't want to be forced to play a draw all the time which is what I find happens with most hybrids. These clubs will allow a little fade at times.
These are wonderful clubs and I think most players will agree. Those who wish to work the ball easily in both directions probably don't need the forgiveness and length this set offers, but the rest of us have a good chance of improving our handicaps with them in our bags.
