Great Driver, low cost
Date: October 21, 2009
I'm a scratch golfer and was out playing with a friend and he had the burner driver. I asked him if I could hit it and I promptly hit one about 300 down the middle, I was impressed with the feel and also the accuracy I was getting with this driver right fromt he get go. Golfsmith had a sale the next week and without hesitation I picked up this driver for myself. Had a calloway i've had for about 4 yrs and beats it hands down. Good for golfers of all handicaps. If your looking for a great feeling driver and something you can hit straight, pick this bad boy up now!

Not good for a draw or player who wants to Fade
Date: October 20, 2009
I purchased this driver and the three wood in hopes of gaining some distance with my tee shots. I read a lot of positive reviews, but I also read a couple of reviews that stated that this club promotes a draw/hook. I definitely got more distance with this club, but I could not control the ball flight at all. The ball flew right to left with every shot that I hit and I was not able to fade the ball ever...even at the driving range. It's a nice looking club and is probably good for someone who struggles with a slice, but it's not for someone who hits a draw or wants to fade the ball.

Perfect beginners driver
Date: October 4, 2009
I just bough my burner today and went to the range a few hours later. After the first couple of shots, my god, wat a driver. Easy to hit, light and accurate. Every shot was straight down the middle and a nice loft to it. Easy 230+. This is my 1st month golfing btw on a totally new driver :)

Overall nice Driver
Date: September 24, 2009
I have the draw version of this driver. It is a sweet hitting driver and does help to correct my slice. It is not an instant cure, however, for a bad swing. It is about the same distance-wise, maybe a bit shorter, than my previous driver an Adams BUL 5000. I have the regular flex shaft, but probably should have went with the stiff as the regular is a bit whippy. This driver in 10.5 hits the ball super high in the air. If I had a 9 deg stiff I think it would be much longer.

Greatly Improved Distance and Accuracy
Date: September 18, 2009
I am a recreational golfer that plays in a few Captain's Choice tournaments a year, with a 1 or 2 golf trips, and rounds as much as I can (probably averaging once a month). So, as a true hacker, I was really overjoyed at the performance of my new Burner Driver. I hit balls like I have NEVER hit before. My distance was comparable to our group's better golfers, giving me plenty of well-used bragging rights amongst the rest! My "power fade" all but diappeared, and I hit more fairways in one weekend than I have in the whole summer! I know that practice makes perfect; but this club sure did a lot on its own!

Good driver, not a great shaft
Date: September 7, 2009
This is definitely a solid driver, but there is one huge con. To some, it may be insignificant, but to me, it was instantly noticeable. The stiff shaft is only 50 grams, which is rather light. It makes the club hard to feel at impact, and even harder to work. I suggest whoever wants to purchase this driver to first try it out, because after all, a driver is much of a feel thing. You really cant say "this is the bomb" without first giving it a thorough try.

Terrific Driver
Date: September 4, 2009
For a beginner I wasn't sure which driver was good for me. Went to Golf smith and they recommended me with this burner driver. Went out to the range immediately afterwards and was able to strike the ball nicely. Great feel and weight (really light) and it's awesome to hit! I'm sure if it's great for beginner then it should be pretty good for pros as well. Great buy!

One of my best golf purchases
Date: August 19, 2009
This is my first year playing. I played a lot of baseball as a kid, so the mechanics came fairly naturally for me.
I had started off with a cheap, Wal-Mart driver (Wilson, 10.5, "men's flex"). Naturally, I had a pretty consistent, nasty slice. I had viewed paying $200+ for a driver with a very skeptical eye. When I saw this driver advertized for $150, I decided to give it a try.
Boy, am I glad I did. This may sound cliche, but this purchase has made all of the difference in the world. Before, I would slice essentially every tee shot. Now, I might have 2 or 3 a round. I'm actually finding the left side of the fairways now, and with the straighter trajectory, I'm getting an extra 20yds of distance.
BTW, I went with the 9.5, S-flex. It turns out my skepticism was misfounded.

Date: August 11, 2009
I bought this drive to match my 5-wood and have crushed the ball. I hit this driver at least 20-30 yards longer than my old driver and it makes a great sound. This driver also goes very straight and I impressed my grandpa by out-driving him and hitting 70% of fairways last weekend when I played with him. A phenomenal driver!!!

BRICK ON A STICK
Date: August 9, 2009
OH MY GOD! Why don't they just put a bowling ball on a golf shaft and get it over with. This is a BRICK ON A STICK. I have a Callaway Steelhead III that is longer and straigher than this brick. Do not be drawn in by the hype, these big headed drivers DO NOT WORK! Go with a proven design of 360cc or smaller - More Distance and Morer Control. I have had it with these big headed bricks.

Best Driver I have ever owned.
Date: August 7, 2009
I bought the Taylormade Burner used, but when I bought it used I had trouble telling if it was or wasn't used. The people at Golfsmith take great care of their items and I was extremely please. I will be buying from Golfsmith in the future.
The club itself is just perfect for me. I am 16 and I am just getting back into golf and I needed a new driver and this worked wonders for me. I have less of a slice now. And I can put more power into my swing without having to worry about a slice. So thank you for the great sale Golfsmith!

My first BIG driver.
Just replaced an original Callaway Warbird.
For real.
Consistently hitting it longer and straighter.
I like it.
Keeping my Warbird 4 and Heaven wood though.
Just as good as any hybrid.
