TAYLORMADE Burner Steel Fairway Wood with Graphite Shaft

TaylorMade Burner Steel Fairway Wood w/ Graphite Shaft The Burner Steel Fairway Wood features SuperFast Club Technology to give an extremely light total weight combined with a ight and long shaft to promote faster swing speed for added power. A large steel clubhead has the highest MOI of any fairway wood in golf (30% higher than the r7 steel) which gives tremendous forgiveness for long, straight results on off center hits. The Steel Pull Face Construction equals a higher COR promoting faster ball speed for increased distance. Shallow clubface design means lower and farther back CG position for easy to launch high and long.

A 3 wood I can get in the air!
Date: October 18, 2009
I have had many 3 woods over the last year. Including the Big Bertha Diablo, The Cobra new 3 wood, and a nike dymo 3 wood (that is an awful club i wasted alot of money on it.) Anyways I just bought this club about a week ago and i have played 3 rounds and 2 range sessions so far. It's amazing, it goes farther then my old 3 wood, but the real difference is that my last club I could only hit low and it would roll a lot and i lost distance alot, with this club it actually goes in the air with some ease. Which I think is amazing with a 3 wood which is easily the hardest club to get in the air. Plus its the cheapest name brand 3 wood other then the garbage nike 3 woods

Great Club, Prompt Delivery
Date: September 30, 2009
Let's face it, you need both a good swing and a good club to get results. This club more than takes care of the second part. When you hit it right, the ball just goes and goes...get the other Taylormade woods to add consistency to your game.

Unregrettable purchase
Date: September 25, 2009
This 5 wood filled a distance gap in my set. Put a smooth stroke on it and the ball will go long and straight with just the right trajectory. As far as my game goes, this was an unregrettable purchase and I think others will have a similar opinion.

Great Fairway wood
Date: September 17, 2009
The course i play at has three par 5's and every round i'm on in two for atleast one of them. This club is deadly accurate. I would hit this club off the tee before my 4 iron. My only complaint is that the wrip started to rip at the bottom ( I probably need new grips anyways).

Excellent feel
Date: September 12, 2009
The Burner Steel wood has a large headsize that will boost confidence over the long second shot from the fairway. The big size is good for a 3 wood, but I found it cumbersome for the 5 and 7 woods. The best feature is the 455 carpenter steel face that provides a very satisfying feel at impact. The sound and feel alone drives me to hit this club again and again. I never liked the Reax shafts and I'm not fond of this one. Also it's important to note, the club has a slight draw bias. Overall a good club for the high handicapper or weekend golfer.

Great fairway wood for moderate swing speeds
Date: September 4, 2009
This was the first quality fairway wood I purchased and I was not disappointed. The price of these clubs are a steal and they still compete with clubs twice their cost. Keep in mind they are geared for people with a tendency to slice and with slow to moderate swing speeds as anyone swinging the club faster may find it feels "whippy" (50 grams is too light for a fairway wood shaft if you are a fast swinger or looking for accuracy). It also has a natural draw tendency, so if you pull or hook you'll want to find a different club. You can also absolutely bomb the ball with these; With my Tour Burner and Burner 5W, I have hit over the green of a 550 yard uphill par 5 in 2 and I would be lying if I didn't say these clubs' longer shafts and increased forgiveness didn't play some role in that.

Date: August 17, 2009
I got the driver and fairway wood. They are very light feeling. I like the driver forgiveness but I am not sure about the 3 wood. I am having problems hitting it from the fairway. I like it off the tee, but off the deck-not so much.

Outstanding addition to my Burner driver as it equilized my swing between the two clubs. Lighter than my old club with much longer distance.
My husband liked mine so well even with the senior shaft that he bought one for himself. Great club

I bought the 3 and 5 from Golfsmith, excellent service and love the clubs. Needed a 150yd plus fairway club so i got the 7 wood also. Now I have a full set of Burner to replace my Supersteel which went to the first tee in Fort Worth.
Will Buy again from Golfsmith.
