WILSON Staff Tw9 Milled Wedge

Wilson Golf Staff Tw9 Milled Wedge The Tw9 Tour Milled wedge features precision grooves milled in the final stages of construction that create an aggressive cross-section for shot-stopping spin and total control out of bunkers and tight fairways. Offered in a satin or black chrome finish, the wedge comes in multiple loft options specifically for precise yardage when targeting pins from shorter distances. The new 48- and 50-degree Tw9s were designed with less bounce and a cavity back structure for more forgiveness while the 52-, 54-, 56-, 58- and 60-degree wedges were formed in a blade-style design for playability with sole and bounce, intended for creative shot-making from a multitude of fairways, bunkers and greenside lies. Wilson Staff's Tw9 Tour Milled wedges were among the clubs used by 2-time major champion Padraig Harrington to clinch the 2008 British Open and 2008 PGA Championship, marking the 60th and 61st major championship won with Wilson Staff irons and the 81st and 82nd won

Heavy with great spin
Date: May 20, 2009
I just got this wedge and have played a few rounds with it. Love It! I was playing a vokey 56-14 that i played for 3 years. This Wilson Wedge is ten times the wedge that vokey was. And it is cheaper! Solid Feel, Great Spin, and it is a touch heavier then the average wedge out there right now. I got the 56-12 model and have not been disappointed. I play either v1 or v1x balls so i know that has something to do with it, but still to be able to flight the ball correctly and control the spin around the greens is great. The distance on this 56 is very comparable to most wedges that i have hit, I can max it out with control at about 90 yds, then around the greens it is magic. I have owned several Wilson products and have never been disappointed in their products. I play the Wilson Pi7 irons right now and this TW9 wedge is just another example that you don't need to buy high end name brand clubs to get a good solid product.

my prefered wedge

Weight is just right. Some people say its heavy, others say its light. Its weight is in between the Vokey and Clevelands. Spin is exelent and feel is just. I liked the feel of thies alot. Felt really solid and soft. Like the wide range to fill gaps. Set up looks clean to. If Harrington can win majors with thies then you know its a great wedge. Oh and the spin off the face was just shocking. You chip it and you get a good ammount of back spin off of thies
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value, Features, great spin off the face
