XPC Max Offset Steel Fairway Wood

XPC MAX Offset Steel Fairway Wood Head: XPC MAX offset fairway wood heads offer the perfect match to the XPC MAX Offset Titanium driver. Low face profiles make it easier to catch the ball clean and get it up in the air from all types of lie conditions. You can now have confidence that you will carry the ball over that trap or water hazard between you and the green. The offset hosel design aids both in offering higher trajectory than traditional fairway woods while increasing accuracy for players that have a tendency to push or slice the ball. Smooth, soft lines make this very pleasing at set up while the XPC on the crown aids in set up. The rich red and silver metal flake in the black painted finish offer a super rich looking club that won t break the bank. Download MAX Offset Fairway Wood Clubhead Specs (180 KB)

Best 5 Fairway Wood I've used

I love the feel and the sound of good contact with this club. It is easy to hit, straight, and long. I "hit a home run" with this one.

Great Fairway Club
Date: April 21, 2008
This and a companion 5-wd are the best fairway woods ever! I use them with great success. The ball goes straight and far. I have two customers who also give rave notices.

Awesome Value

This is the first club i've ever built, I used a Snake Eyes Pro Launch 65 Wood Shaft(R flex). This combination allows very long and straight ball flight for me. Even on slight mishits, it is very VERY forgiving. (Of course, with any club, the person swinging it can make bad shots, skulling it, topping it, skying it, etc).
So far the finish has held up, but i've only had it for a month now.
I was very skeptical of this brand, and i was very skeptical of building my own club........BUT now that i know how easy it is to do, i plan on building an entire set for myself.

Great club- really like the weight and cg. Just a smooth easy swing and it is straight away. My 74 year old spine really likes the way this club converts what little rotation I have into power.

5 Star --best 3 wood ever
Date: November 30, 2007
the offset allows easier to square clubhead at contact with golfball. the ample clubface height permits off-center hits to remain quite accurate and the low face profile allows me to catch the ball clean and get it up into the air from tight lies.

XPC Max Offset 3 Wood
Date: November 19, 2007
Hitting a 3 wood has always been a problem for me. For the past two years I have been playing a top brand $150 3 wood and struggling. A friend ask me to build him a 3 wood, so I decided to also make one for myself. I whould not have believed that changing clubs could make such a difference. I am amazed at how well I play this XPC Max Offset 3 Wood. I built both clubs with an "A" flex shaft and my friend is also delighted with his. It plays great off the tee and off tight lies. I wish I could give it 10 stars! WOW!

This club has almost replaced my driver. It hits very straight and long. Off the fairway, it is easy to swing and get the ball airborne. For a budget club, you can't beat it.

Unexpectedly High Quality & Performance
Date: August 27, 2007
This clubhead has the excellent feel and sound of quality construction. Even though the face is small and made of a relatively low C.O.R. material, the clubhead rings as pure as a tuning fork when struck half-well.
I was weary of the paint job on the sole of the club, but it has been stangely uneffected by my use so far (~45 swings). I usually see some wear on the paint by then.
The club I built with this head delivered trajectories unusually closer to center and farther on bad shots... even for today's technology. The ball could still end up in the rough, but the shot required to get it there is a very poor hit. Impossible swings that skull the ball and the like still didn't work, of course.
I held Golfsmith components in very high regard (I really love the in depth info on specific specifications), but thought XPC was the lowest quality brand of the bunch. This clubhead makes me wonder if XPC is of equal or better quality than the Snake Eyes I have used.
