Zevo Full Set: The Zevo men's 12-piece golf set consists of a 460cc oversized Titanium Matrix driver with graphite shaft and two matching fairway metals (#3 and #5) with graphite shafts. Perfect Choice

I am a beginner at golf and have only used two sets of clubs. Ping black dots and the zevo's. For the money i think this set is great. I will admit i have hit the ground several times at the driving range and i did not have any problems with any clubs until recently. I have cracked the shaft on my driver but take sole responsibility. For someone like me that was not sure if I would like golf or not the Zevo's were the perfect choice. The investment is not too large to make for regrets if i didn't like golf or if i damaged my equipment (as I have) and now that i have come to enjoy the game i can use the extra money to play more golf.
Pros: Quality, Durability, Easy to Use, Good Value, Features

Great set of clubs..all the way around

I bought this as my first set of clubs at the beginning of 2007 and I can't tell you guys how happy I am with them. The bag is very nice too.
At first I wasn't sure how good they were because I was so bad at golf and I have continued to play for 2 seasons now practicing my golf game and learning to play the whole time using these clubs.
My game just keeps getting better. I absolutely love these clubs and I am outplaying many golfers with very expensive clubs. People always try to buy expensive clubs when they are bad at golf and in reality the clubs are fine and its just their game thats bad. I can hit balls as far and accurate with these clubs as other golfers with far more expensive irons. Yesterday I hit two pitching wedge shots 154 and 158 yars on the green for par on two par 3 holes.
This driver is $19.95 at GolfSmith now and I average 230- 250 yards with this driver and I hit a 290-300 yard shot just yesterday on a 341 hole. I see some of these reviews about heads flying off and I don't think that is normal. Obviously I would get a refund on that if that happened but people shouldn't expect it. When I was learning to play I bounced these woods off the ground 20-30 times and I still hit with them perfect today and have never had an issue with any heads coming off at all.
This is a great set of clubs.
I am 5'9 175 and this is what i hit with these clubs
pitching wedge 100-155 yards
9 iron 155-170
8 iron 170-185
7 iron 185-200
6-5 200+

The woods are graphite and the irons are steel and that is a great design and very common for tour professionals. i don't think anyone could have a better first set of clubs than this set here.

warranty issues

I have just bought this set and only used them once. So far I have not had any problems but has anyone had any issues with the warranty since I hear so much about the heads flying off.

I purchased this set last night from Golfsmith (Galleria location). I took these clubs to the Pinecrest Driving range and did my warm-ups. The set felt pretty nice but then 4 swings into my driver the head flew off and went 60 yards down the range. I would not recommend this set due to the problems with the heads flying off. I do believe that some people have luck with this set, but it seems to be hit or miss with these clubs.

I've used this set for one full season now and am very satisfied. I did not like the putter and replaced it with another. The woods have held up very well, unlike a lot of comments I've seen about the heads coming off. I have hit drives over 300 yards with this driver straight and true. The heads seem to be solid. I've hit the ground quite a few times with my 3 wood and no lost heads yet. The irons are very good. I'd recommend this set to any beginner or even intermediate player.

Poor quality for fast swinger

I bought this set about 3 weeks ago, on my third visit to the driving range the two woods and the driver broke... their heads went flying along with the ball into the range and I was left with beheaded shafts. None of the clubs hitted the ground or anything else, just the ball.
I return them this morning. The set might be a good one for a beginner with no much swing speed. I am buying a set of Snake Eyes clubs that GolfSmith has for about $600, it's a step up and more money but I believe it is well worth it.

I purchased this set and tried it out the night I got it. After only hitting about 20 balls my driver and 3wood broke. I would not recomend this set.

I am new to golfing so I really cant compare these to the higher priced clubs, but they are the best club’s I have ever used. My drives were farther and straighter than they have ever been. I have never been able to hit my driver but the 460cc driver has a very large sweet spot that gave me longer drives with more accuracy. I haven’t had any problems with my woods yet. All in all a great set of starter clubs!

well im with patm on this via friend of mine
the irons i like alot,the putter i dont feel at all when i putt and i dont lik that to much
2 of my friends and i have these clubs we've all broke a wood and the driver feels pretty weak also
id say average but not much better

posibly wait, actually the best golf set ive ever had. The putter is very good i usually take 4 putts on the green now 1 or 2 putts. The driver is awsome it added maybe 20 or so yards to my drives. Overall a must get for begeners or a great set for anyone. 5 out of 5 for sue

bad woods

the irons for this set are really great, but the woods are horrible. My friend and i bought these clubs and the head of his 5 wood broke off and the head of my hybrid broke off. We didnt even hit the ground with the clubs.
